It's the little things that make up Patrick and Joe's relationship.
And no, they weren't "extremely close friends" as told by many adults who don't approve of them, they're boyfriends. And they were basically inseparable.
That is, out of school. (Dreaded school separates them; they unfortunately deal with it.)
Otherwise, you wouldn't be able to find one of them without the other clinging onto their arms.
No one truly seemed to understand their relationship. Hitting the other's arm playfully when one said something absolutely ridiculous was normal.
High pitched screams when the other failed on a game of Mario was necessary.
Riding bikes down the street while singing (screeching, more or less) lyrics to their favorite songs was almost a ritual.
Joe playing his guitar while Patrick sang a sweet melody was the basic unit of happiness for them.
They were ridiculously in love. They didn't care what anyone thought about them. They only cared about each other.
And that's all that really matters.
