Re:Zero SUBARU X REM

Chapter 3

It was a quite, peaceful morning- blue jays chirp, squawk, - squirrels ran, and scattered through the deep forest, - more unusual birds flew above the leafy roofs, - and finally, creatures snaked in and out of the environment searching for society. But this only improved Subaru and Rem's glorious morning.

Until he realized, the Witch's Cult was still lurking around in the shadows; which meant he had to keep a close eye out on Rem.

"Ay Rem-san, do you think it's safe out here? All alone?" he questioned feeling nervous; as if he'd be attacked.

"Don't be silly! We're fine out here Subaru, we'll be arriving at the hometown soon!" Rem giggled, while leading the carriage with horses; toward the stony path. It was her first time actually getting good quality time with Subaru alone. Well they had time to themselves but they didn't go on dates or vacations to say.

"Oh... well that's good." he answered, feeling drowsy while they continue moving.

"Subaru-kun? Oh-" she saw him almost sleeping. Immediately, she fixed his position by placing his head on her lap. Moments later and Subaru already was fast asleep on her comforting lap. The only noises they heard were animals and the breeze sliding through the path. Subaru and Rem were making their way to a village they came in contact with a few weeks ago.

Therefore, Subaru had to wake up soon. But he hesitated to awake off Rem's little lap, hoping this "pillow" he laid his head on would never vanish. What am I thinking? I could still keep an eye on Emilia-tan and Ram but... I enjoy being with Rem even more. Subaru imagined.

"Eh... a quiet leafy roof?" he opened his eyes, seeing the forest roof above his face. "Why am I floating below it? I should get snacks sometime this evening at the gas station sometime...." his mind was drowsy and confused. Although he began remembering where he was soon enough so he had no problem remembering all he's been through.

"REM!" Subaru's face was flushed. His head was still laying on her even though he woke up surprised. "What i-is this ab-bout? I-I don't deserve this!!!"

"Uh? Of course you d-do my hero! I can't say no when giving you my lap to settle on!" she replied happily, knowing he was safe and sound with her. (Which by the way, made her joyful and passionate along that.)

"R-Really? Wow...um I guess I don't have to use Return by-" he stopped recalling the event he has when speaking his ability outloud. He could've just screwed up right there; if he finished out his sentence. "I-I-I mean, I love you too!" he chuckled.

"Subaru..." she trailed off in a teased tone, while she petted his head. Obviously, they both were blushing at this point. I mean, who wouldn't? It's always nice to be right next to the one you truly love, knowing they're there and safe. And you'll be there for them : always. Anyway after this, he reached off her lap, stretched out his arms with wide-open eyes.

"Hmm, so have we reached the town called, Wyvern's Den?" The curious man, Natsuki Subaru asked his lovely new girlfriend Rem. The area called Wyvern's Den was a peaceful home-village with tons of citizens and children- a perfect paradise for the afterlife as well. (Note this place was covered with such nature, it was dazzling when you reached its entrance.) 

"We'll be there in a few minutes babe." she winked feeling embarrassed naming him 'babe'.

"Ahhh...sure thing princess?" the two stare back at each other, laughing of their silliness knowing everything would be great in the end.

"Agreed."
