The door to the principlal's office was opened, the A/c hit them as they entered, they shivered. Sitting behind a huge desk was a fair lady in her mid thirties, she wore a plain black suit, she looked really elegant. "Must be the secretary" Dunni whispered "yes it is, haven't you ever been here?" Lade whispered back as they drew nearer to the desk "I just don't see the need, I don't get into trouble so, why should I?" Dunni asked looking at her. Finally, they got to the desk... "Hello girls, how may I help you?" Said the secretary in a sweet voice, Dunni was stunned, how could someone be so calm? "Umm... We are here to see the principal miss" Lade said "oh yes, I remember you, you are the girl who just left... Please sit, I'll be right back" she said as she walked away... "You mean you went through all this procedure just to get me an appointment with the principal?"Dunni said looking at Lade in admiration "yes, anything for my best friend.... Who knows if you hadn't fallen asleep, you would have known... "You can go in girls" the secretary said "thank you ma" Lade replied... They walked in.
The room was well furnished, Dunni couldn't believe she was actually inside such a beautiful room... The air smelled nice... Unlike the other offices she had entered "wow... Now this is what you call an office!... I can't believe I've never been here... " she looked around in awe...
"Miss Adewale?" The principal called for the third time."Oh, I'm so sorry sir!" She said feeling embarrassed, she couldn't believe she had been starring for a long time!."I see you love the furniture and everything else in this room, but can you please let's get down to business?" He asked looking at her... Lade gave her a "go ahead" smile ... "Good Afternoon sir, my main purpose of coming here is to ask you of something and also share my point of view" she ended... Looking from Lade to him "yes?, young lady, I hope it's not about prom again, because I've had enough of that topic" he looked at her sternly, which made her scared... "N.. No sir, this one is more better than prom... I've seen the way teenagers have issues in this school and also I've heard a lot of misunderstandings... Also our councillor is very old, the cases may tire him out... " she paused "go on" he said nodding his head "all I'm saying sir us that I want to start up a court in school sir" she released... He looked at her, then to Lade, then back at her, she swallowed hard and kept her fingers crossed beneath her... He then sat up "Miss Adewale, you should know a court is going to be expensive getting the necessary materials to build... Further more, you are an SS3 student, a final year for that matter, you have WAEC coming up in a couple of months.... Sure, your idea is good.. But think about it, these teens will tire you out... " he said looking at her... Lade just starred at them... " I know sir, but I'm not asking you to build, you can give us an empty classroom we could use... We will clean it, and..." "What about the furniture you will need miss Dunni?, will you provide that too?!" He cut her short... She was dazed, she hadn't thought of that... "I'm sorry Miss Dunni, it... Can't work" He said with an air of finality in his voice. "But sir, you can please reconsider, she is gonna do great... I know it" Lade said with pleading eyes. Actually, no one can resist Lade's pleading eyes.... I still try but it's no use, I hope this works on the principal...Dunni thought "I know Miss Coker, but I just can't there is no resources.... " he said... "Thank you sir, for your time" Dunni said, they left.
She sat in class that day absent mindedly, nothing seemed to amuse her, teachers got worried because no one answered their questions. Her hand wasn't put up for anything in class."Dunni?" Miss Akin, the Literature teacher called "yes ma!" She answered "what's wrong, you didn't put up your hand in my class today, what's wrong?" She asked feeling concerned "the books she has been reading have blocked her speech" Amara muttered... That couldn't be called a mutter, because the whole class heard and burst out laughing... Dunni stood up and left the class....in tears.

She ran to the rest room, sat on a toilet bowl and started crying, replaying everything the principal said to her... Just then, the door swung open, it was Lade...she just hugged her.... They both cried. "How'd you find me here?" Dunni asked "well, I saw when you left your class... We were having free period so I followed you" Lade said wiping Dunni's tears... "Be strong babe... Things will look up I promise you" Lade said looking at her pitifully "I hope... I just want this so bad, I really wish it happens, so they could see all I could do... I'm just so sad right now..." Dunni said looking pale... "Let it all out. It'll get better... I know it.. " Lade said... They hugged each other and went back to class....
Amara came alone this time to meet her "uhn, crying.... Sorry... I told you this school won't contain us!" She said looking devilishly at her "yeah, I know, why remind me, listen, I don't care what you think, I don't even know what I did to you to deserve all this, just stay away.... Like you said... Dey your own, I dey my own... " Dunni said "see this small thing ooo, you want to challenge me ehn... You?!" Amara retorted almost slapping her... "Hey, hey, hey!... " Jimi said as he stopped her... Ahh, Jimi, the class most finiest boy.... He had caught Dunni's eye since SS2...He was every girls dream guy... Including Amara... Everyone wanted him. You could guess why Amara just mellowed when he came to stop her from slapping Dunni.... Dunni was also surprised, she looked at him with great admiration, his chocolate skin, nicely cut hair, his broad chest and muscles.... She couldn't help but stare...he was also the head boy.... Hmm, the post of a king... "I've told you Amara that fighting isn't the Answer!" He said "I'm sorry Jimi, but she started it!"Amara said in the sweetest voice she could muster... Dunni was stunned beyond words, she never knew anyone could calm amara down... Jimi was really a god... "Are you hurt?" He asked looking into her eyes... Damn!.... He was cute!... "No... Thanks" she said as she turned her eyes away from him blushing a little and leaving.....he starred after her.. "Jimi, you were saying...." Amara asked as she saw he was looking at Dunni kinda too much "just stop causing trouble and catastrophe, you are a lady" he said... "I won't do it again Jimi" she said looking into his eyes, he walked away. "Hmm,ill get you,I will!" She muttered...
