Chapter 18

I feel a searing pain in the back of my head and hear a bunch of people shouting my name.

I hear Josh yelling, "Oh my god, oh my god, she's dead now we have to cast a new Clove. She was so young!"

Then there's a bunch of sobs and someone saying, "Oh god, please Isabelle, wake up!"

I open my eyes and right at that moment Xander grabs my face and kisses me right on the lips.

"God Isabelle, never scare me like that again," He lightly chuckles and I smile.

"I'll try, but no promises," He laughs at that.

"Whoa, am I missing something here?" Josh asks with one eye brow raised.

Xander pulls me in his lap and says, "Isabelle here is my lady friend," I laugh.

"Alexbelle, I like it, it's catchy," Jen says.

"Isn't it," Jack tells Jen and they high five.

"Well I think you two make an adorable couple," Josh says.

"Thanks bro," Xander fist bumps Josh.

But then I see something weird. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Leven roll her eyes. I wonder why, I'll probably find out soon.

"I think we're done for the day. You all can go back to the hotel," Gary tells us.

So we all go out to the vans waiting for us, get in, and go back to the hotel.
