“What!!??”

It was the only word Cecee managed to utter because of shock.

One word… one word that conveys a hundred of emotions swirling inside her. She doesn’t know how to react or even feel by her husband’s sudden outburst.

Para siyang sinampal ng pagkalakas-lakas na halos ikamanhid hindi lamang ng kanyang pisngi kundi ng buo niyang katawan.

If it is possible, those words almost killed her, from heart attack maybe, or for lack of oxygen, but for whatever killing reason, all in all, she almost begged that she was killed on the spot.

Divorce- isang nakakahiyang bagay na maaring hingiin ng lalaki sa kanyang asawa.

Mga nakakahiya at masasakit na dahilang puwede mong isipin kung bakit hinhingi ito sayo. Maybe it means that you’re man isn’t happy anymore, that he fell-out of love for you, and worst… you are not enough anymore to make him complete… to make you his world worth evolving.

Masakit… sobrang sakit.

Wala siyang marinig.

Even the person who was talking to her right now, who happens to be her husband or future ex-husband maybe, ay hindi niya marinig, nakatitig lamang siya sa pagbuka ng bibig nito. It was like the time stop and played muted. Or maybe heartache makes people deaf.

It was like her ears literally stopped from functioning- just like how her hearts stops from beating.

She was really shocked- stunned beyond words. If there is a thing playing in here mind right now- it was the question of ‘how’ and ‘why’, but most especially are the whys.
