Seven.

I woke up to the soft breezes tickling my cheeks. The rustling of the trees emphasized the surroundings. I slowly blinked open my eyes and the bright sunlight blinded my eyes, involuntarily causing my hand to cover my eyes. I sat up slowly, trying to take a good look at where I am. At the far end was a meadow, shimmering and the flowers were swaying, but a part of it was blocked by the gigantic oak trees. I stood up, realizing I was barefooted, and walked slowly and carefully. The grass around me were as green as they could be, and rabbits and squirrels roamed the places.

I'm in a forest.

The atmosphere was damp and it was quite difficult to breathe normally. My white dress hugged my torso perfectly and the frills right above my knees swayed to the rhythm of the wind. I walked along a narrow river and took a good look at my reflection.

I am so beautiful.

A purple flower band fit my head just nice, and contrasted the baby blue eyes that I've got. My lips were in a much paler shade of pink, and my face glittered in the sunlight.

What am I?

I continued towards the meadow. I don't even know why but my legs seem to take control of me. My mind tells me to go to the meadow and that the answer is found there.

Soon enough, the smell of the flowers hit my nose. The orange tulips, blue roses, and all sorts of weird-colored flowers came to sight. Some were even glitter in colour. The oak trees were thousand times bigger than me, now that I'm standing next to it. The whole place was suddenly blooming and it was hard to make out my surroundings.

But I saw a man. He had blonde hair, slightly curly, and his face was defined. His jawlines, his eyes, brows, lips... Everything. He looked so damn familiar.

I don't know who he is, I've never met him, and I started running.

I ran and ran, away from the meadow. The man chased after me, like I was everything he needed.

"Melanie! It's Luke!"

How did he know my name? And Luke.. That name brought warmth to my heart. But I don't know him! How could I have known him? Or maybe I did? But how?

My mind was racing as fast as I was running. My breathing ragged. I was afraid. I don't know where I am or what's happening.

In front of me was a door, in the middle of grasses. Thinking it was the only escape, I fastened my legs even more and crashed through the door.

I fell, like I was in a vacuum. Everything was pitch black. I was falling on my back, and I looked up to the opened door and saw Luke crying out my name. I couldn't fly up, could I?

A part of me wanted to be near him, but another part feared him. The next thing I knew, I fell on a cold hard ground, and a girl, my age, but shorter was standing in front of me, laughing her hearts out. White lights were shining on her, like it did to me. Her laughter was so high pitched, it sent chills down my spine. She looked so evil, and her right hand held tightly a dagger.

She walked towards me menacingly and when she stood in front of me, I stopped breathing.

"Goodbye." was the only word she spoke.

I felt a sharp pain shot through my torso and piercing through my insides. My mouth opened but I couldn't scream-

I jolted up from bed, with beads of sweat trickling down my cheeks. I was in a hospital room.
