Zayn's POV

I was driving the car in the deep city night, all alone with Summer. I decided to go home to Bradford to lessen the tension between me and Louis. I don't want to have a bad blood with him because he is one of my best mates. Another is to make sure that Summer isn't getting any stress that she does not need.

I have been driving for an hour and a half and I already feel so sleepy. I still have two hours before reaching Bradford. I looked over at Summer, who fell asleep in the passenger seat. I decided to have a stop over in a Hotel for safety measures, most especially that Summer is with me. And I badly need a very comfortable bed for both of us.

"Zayn..." I could hear her mumble under her breathe. I held her hand as I held my other hand to the car's steering wheel. She moved slightly. My eyes ware focused on the road. I intertwined our hands together and squeezed it. Then she opened her eyes.

"Babe," I spoke. She looked over to me and smiled weakly.

"Hey," she said. She sat down properly and then peeked over the window. "How many hours am I asleep?" she asked.

"An hour," I answered.

"It felt like forever," she commented and yawned. "I am sure we are not there yet,"

"Exactly," I said. "But then, it's okay. We can continue this tomorrow. Let us just find a hotel nearby here so that we could have a proper rest,"

"Oh," she said with a nod. I looked beyond the road and I squeezed her hand, this time a lot tight. She looked right straight into my eyes. I turned my gaze back into the road.

"Why did you not tell me about Louis?" I asked. She turned her head away from me and I felt her take a deep breath.

"I...Because..." she stuttered. Another sigh.

"Don't worry," I said. "I am not angry. I just wanted to know why and understand more about this,"

"But I will understand if you will be angry with me," she said then sighed. "I lied to you,"

"You may have lied to me but I won't be angry and I promise, I will never be," I said. She looked again to me as I looked to her. I returned my gaze on the road. "Just tell me. I swear, I won't,"

She sighed and squeezed my hand. "It's because, I don't want to lose you Zayn. I am afraid." she answered. I took another glance towards her as she turned her head away from me. 'I don't want to lose you because I love you and that is why I have to keep it as a secret and lie things. Though I know that it would mean that I am being selfish," she explained and through that, I felt her sincerity. She is not using me and I felt that. She loves me and I know that.

"I believe you on that,"  I said with an reassuring smile.

"You do?" she asked.

"Yes. I could feel it. My instinct is telling me," I answered. I looked to her as she smiled and nodded. "Can you please smile wider now?" I asked.

She pursed her lips. "Okay," she said.

"I don't want to see you sad, you know that right?" I asked. "And it's not good for you. It is not really,"

"I know," she said. "I... just wanted to sleep," she said. I grinned.

"Mood swings in the middle of the night huh," I muttered. She shrugged and leaned back into the seat. i removed my hand from her hands and caressed her cheeks. "That's okay babe. You can sleep there and I'll just wake you up when I find one, okay?"

"I'll stay awake," she said. "I insist to so that you have someone to look out for you,"

"Okay, if that is what you want to," I said with a smile. She nodded and smiled. After that, there was silence. I was humming some songs while Summer was listening to me. As I drove the car, in the distance, I spotted a hotel and decided to go in there and stay for the night. I looked for a parking lot and parked the car right away. I got out of the car and went around to help Summer. As I was opening the door, the front view of the hotel has local pubs around and some fast food chain. I then helped Summer get out of the car.
