Jess' P.O.V
It's finally winter vacation! I've been begging and begging my dad to take me to Nashville, and he finally said he would during winter break!
The real reason I wanted to go, is to see the Blue Bird Cafe, that's where Taylor Swift got discovered. I'm known as the "Taylor Swift Freak" at school, but that's ok. I'd rather support an artist I love to death, then pretend I don't just to not get picked on. School has never really been my strong suit, no one has ever really liked me, even back in grade school. But it's fine.
I'm one of those girls that has 'friends' but, they don't really know who I am. They just know whats on the outside, they absolutely know nothing about me. So, in reality, I have no friends, except Taylor.
But it kills me when my 'friends' hate on her, and make fun of her, because the thing they don't realize is, she's always there for me when they're not, or when I need someone to talk to BECAUSE of them. That's something they'll never understand.
The drive to Nashville was painful. It was like, an eight or nine hour drive. But when we finally drove past the 'Welcome to Nashville' sign, my happiness meter went up about ten million levels.
We checked in to our hotel room, and decided to walk around Nashville for a little. I slipped on a fresh Taylor shirt and some blue jeans and my converse. That's a usual outfit for me.
"We need some toiletries if we'll be staying for a while." My dad said
"Yeah.. want to go to Target?"
"Sure, that's the only place I see around here anyway, don't want to risk getting lost."
"and we would, get lost."
We both laughed. I'm glad I have a decent relationship with my dad, a lot of teenage girls don't.
We hopped in my Dad's big red Ford truck and headed off to Target.
When we entered the store, I saw a big group of people flocked around this one area.
"Probably a video game release or something." I said to my dad
"Let's avoid this area." He said, tugging my arm in the opposite direction.
I couldn't help but wonder what was over there. I tried to sneak a peek, but there was too many people.
I walked away and went straight to the CD's. Music is my life. I would seriously probably be dead if I didn't have music. Certainly Taylor's.
"Hey Dad, look at this. It comes with 6 bonus songs!" I gave my puppy dog eyes as I shoved the Speak Now Deluxe Edition in his face.
"How much?"
"16.99.."
"I'm Sorry, Jess. We just can't afford it. We need the necessities first." He patted my shoulder.
"It's fine." I gave a fake smile
As I walked away, still looking at the CD in my hand, and I felt like someone was watching me.
Taylor's P.O.V
I just wanted to go to Target to get some little things, but I love my fans. I'd rather spend the day with them, then at some fancy Hollywood party.
As the crowd cleared, I saw a girl in the distance wearing one of my shirts. She was walking away, so I wanted to hurry up so I could catch up with her and talk to her.
"And here you go cutie." I said handing an autograph to a little ten year old.
"Thank you!" She said and her mom grabbed her hand and they walked away
I looked over at my mom and told her what my plan was.
I started jogging in the direction the girl went, and in the distance I heard my mom shout,
"RUN TAYLOR, RUN."
We have this obsession with Forrest Gump. So I laughed really hard, while I was still trying to run.
What felt like 8 hours later, I found her looking in the toy section. I was hiding behind the big display of playground balls, listening to their conversation.
"Dad, I know they have a Taylor doll!"
"I don't see one, I see Justin Bieber, but no Taylor."
"I got that," she laughed, "but I don't want the Biebs."
"We have the worst luck, I swear." Her dad said and they started walking away.
I followed behind them and just listened to their conversation. It made me miss my Dad.
"Wouldn't it be awesome if we just randomly ran into Tay?" She said looking up at her Dad.
"Jess, we have to be realistic here, Nashville is huge."
"But it'd be awesome."
"Yes. Yes it would." he sighed
"Sorry I annoy you by talking about her so much, she's like my only friend though. You know that."
"I know." He smiled and gave her a side hug.
That made me feel really sad, that she doesn't even have anyone to talk to. So I finally decided to talk to her.
"Hey Jess?" I said tapping her shoulder.
She turned around and her mouth dropped to the ground.
