Jess' P.O.V

I woke up extra early today, tomorrow is Tuesday and it's our first day back from Christmas vacation. When I get back, everyone will be bragging about how they got a car, or a laptop or an iPhone, and I'll just be walking next to my new best friend, Taylor Swift. Yeah. You can't top that cool kids, can you?

The drive back to Michigan wasn't that painful. I was texting Taylor, Liz and Caitlin all at one time. It was nice getting to know some actually decent people in this world, regardless if they are a few years older than me.

"What should I wear?" I texted Taylor.

"Hm.. Maybe one of my tour shirts? ;)"

"Hm.. maybe I should! Unless that'd be awkward for you? how about plaid? Plaid is always a winner."

"Sounds good. I'm glad we are corrdinating ahead of time."

"Same, haha :)"

Liz and I were talking about singing and Caitlin... I don't even know how to describe our conversations. Lets just say we can be openly weird together.

When we got home, it was about 8pm. I took a shower, picked out my clothes, then went straight to bed. I was going to straighten my hair but I didn't have time. Plus, Taylor taught me it's ok to have curly hair, so I've been embracing it.

------ Morning------

My alarm clock came super early at six am. I got up and curled a couple sections of my hair that went flat, and put my makeup on. I slipped on my blue 'Taylor Swift or Die' Shirt, then my pink, blue and white plaid long sleeve shirt, dark blue skinny jeans and my black converse.

I looked in the mirror feeling extremely confident, I spritzed my 'Wonderstruck' on a few times then headed down stairs for breakfast.

I grabbed a granola bar, some strawberries and a glass of orange juice.

"You nervous for today?" Dad asked

"Err. my excitement takes over my nerves!"

"That's good," he smiled, "I can't wait to hear all about it."

"Well, it should be interesting to say the least." That it should.

I felt my phone vibrate, it was a text from Taylor.

"What time does your school start?"

"7:40" I responded

It was 7am right now, so she needs to be here in like, 10 minutes or we'll be late, we'll it'd kinda be interesting if we were late, make a big grand enterance.

"I'll be there soon, unless we got lost. Mom hasn't been out this far. haha"

"It's all good, don't worry :)"

"Thanks!:)"

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes, 15 minutes later, a black range rover pulled into my drive way.

"Taylor's here." My Dad said

"Alright, see ya dad."

"Have a good day, kiddo."

"Will do!"

Taylor's P.O.V

Jess has such a cute house, it's green and barn shaped. I love how country they are, it brings me back to my roots.

I saw Jess step off the porch wearing a neon blue 'Taylor Swift or Die' shirt. I laughed

"Mom! Look at her shirt" I said giggiling like a little kid

"Oh my gosh, that's hilarious!" My mom said chuckling

I stepped out of the car and gave her a hug.

"Hey, I like your shirt!"

"ha ha, thanks."

"Let's get going!" I said, and we both got in the backseat

"So, you ready for today?" she asked

"Oh yeah!"

"Just so you know, this school is probably a lot different then Hendersonville.."

"I figured!" I smiled

I turned up the radio and we sang along to the song that was already half over.

"Jess how do we get here from your house?" Mom asked

"Go straight till you hit the light, then turn left, Then go straight and take another left."

"Thanks sweetie."

"No problem!"

I loved how we were both singing along and we've only known eachother for a short period of time, we were both really comfortable with eachother and I trust her. Trust is something that doesn't really come easily to me, so I'm pretty glad i feel this way.

"Which way now, Jess?" my mom asked

"straight at the stop sign, then right at the light, then you should see the school!"

"ok, sounds good!"

I heard the radio was playing 'The Story Of Us' and I was worried Jess might find this awkward. She just looked at me, smiled and said,

"I love this song!" and started singing along.

I smiled so big, and started singing and dancing too. My mom was filming us with my camcorder, but I don't think Jess knew, ha ha.

The next thing we know, I feel the car stop, and I look out the window to see a giant brick building, with tons of kids going in and out.

"We're hear!" My mom exclaimed

"Oh dear.." Jess sighed

"What's wrong?" I asked

"I'm just worried you'll get hurt.."

"Like, physically?"

"No.. These kids are cruel, Taylor. and you're too sweet to be treated the way they treat me and everyone else. You don't deserve. If someone says something to you, I WILL stick up for you, I promise."

I leaned over and gave her a hug.

"Thank you, that means a lot." I smiled

"Anytime."

I opened up my car door and stepped out into the parking lot, fixing my skirt.

"Have a good day girls." My mom smiled

"Thanks, you too Mrs. Swift." Jess smiled

"Bye Mom! I love you."

She waved then drove away, we walked up the steps and I put my arm around Jess' shoulders,

"Just take a deep breath, we'll be fine."

So she did, then opened up the big doors leading into her High School. But, the halls were empty.
