Kimberly's POV (Chicago)
I could distantly hear my alarm going off, I groaned inwardly and hit the snooze button before I quickly fell into another deep sleep.
Suddenly I could feel a splash of freezing cold water all over me.
What the Hell? I opened my eyes.
“I AM GOING TO KILL YOU ANDREW” I screamed so loud that I probably woke up the whole city.
Andy leaped out of my reach and sprinted down the stairs laughing nearly as loud as my screaming.
I ran as fast as I could until I was out of breath.
I resorted to the only thing that I could think of.
“Kimberly! What the hell? What was that for?” Andy demanded off me while he wiped an egg off his face.
“Haha you get what you deserve!” I laughed pointedly at his face, while holding my stomach in glee.
Andy glared at me and opened his mouth, before he could say a word I yelled out “Love you so much Andy Poo!”
I ran up the stairs dodging any flying fruits coming at my head. I laughed and closed my door.
I sighed knowing I would have to face the whole school today, and I didn’t want that to happen in my soaking wet Mickey Mouse boxers and t-shirt.
I went into my bathroom and had a quick shower using my special strawberry scented shower gel.
I hopped out and dried my hair, then gave it a quick straighten with a touch of foundation and eye makeup.
I walked to my wardrobe and rummaged for the perfect outfit to impress. My goal was to show everyone that even if I was gone a month I was still the top chick.
I also needed to impress my lame excuse for a boyfriend who was my “perfect” partner, as social status claimed.
I pulled out a pink denim mini skirt and put on a tank top with a cute cardigan; I popped on my favourite sandals and spun around. “Perfect, if I do say so myself.” I commented to my reflection.
I grabbed my bag and my lip gloss, and went downstairs to leave for school.
“Mom, look what Kim is wearing! Please make her change!” Andy complained loudly glaring at my outfit.
“Shut up Andy, I am allowed to wear what I want, and it's none of your business!” I retorted back and flipped my hair.
“Kim come have some breakfast, it’s your favourite.” Mom said glaring at the both of us warning us to stop.
Andy stood up, “well I am leaving now so it’s come with me or catch your own ride.” Andy said smirking, walking out the door.
I opened my mouth to whine when mom shoved a plate of food in my hand, “Just go dear, and enjoy your first day back.” Mom stated pushing me out the door.
I rolled my eyes, “Sure, you too!” I replied sarcastically.
“By the way honey I will be home late, don’t bother staying up!” She shouted from the front door just as Andy beeped at me to hurry up.
“Bye Mom!” I yelled out.
I shut the door just as Andy sped off.
I gripped the seat, “I would love to stay in one piece please!” I exclaimed.
“Nice to know Kimmy” Andy smirked.
I pulled out my phone and fought against the odds to see if I should tell my friends I was coming today. I decided against, they would get a bigger surprise if I just turned up.
Andy started to shift nervously as we got closer to school.
He hated school since I could remember, ever since he showed the class his Star Wars Figures in Year 1, he was labelled as the geek.
I was more fortunate when I made my debut in Year 1 when I got called the pretty girl by some random guy two grades older. I have secretly had a crush on him since, anyone would!
We pulled into the parking lot; Andy pulled straight up to the front where a crowd was forming.
“Andy what the hell is going on?” I asked hurriedly because ever since I could remember we would park as farther away from my type of crowd as possible.
Andy turned in his seat to face me; his face was rigid telling me something was up.
“Look Kim, some things have changed ok?” Andy said quietly, staring at me strangely.
“So you aren’t afraid of my crowd anymore?” I smirked, I instantly regretted that.
“Shut up Kim and get out!” Andy said glaring.
I flipped him the bird and hopped out of the car and smiled, man this going to be one good day, I grinned.
As soon as me and Andy had got out of the car everybody’s eyes glued on us. The boys were giving Andy the man hand shake thing, and the girls were drooling over him.
Woah wait a minute!
Drooling over Andy!
I looked over at Andy and realised for the first time that he was actually quite different. He had muscle, was wearing stylish clothing, and had no glasses!
Ok anyone care to explain the change!?
I stood for a minute shocked when I realised who was holding Andy’s hand.
You have got to be joking!
Why in God’s name was Katie, holding hands with my brother!!
I had had enough.
I stalked over to the crowd, the girls and guys were looking at me with weird expressions, while none of them seemed to recognise me.
“Hey Katie!” I said to Katie who was trying to see how close she could get to Andy.
“Kimberly?” Katie asked scrutinizing over me.
“Well duh! Who else does it look like?” I retort.
“Not the one who left, you look even uglier!” Katie stated flipping her hair.
“Why you!” I shouted at her taking a step towards her.
People were forming a circle around Andy, Katie and I now.
I was infuriated, how dare my best friend treat me like crap and humiliate me!
“Why you what?” Katie questioned smirking. “Are you too much of a goodie to even call me a name?” Katie said confident in herself.
No she did not just say that did she?
Who does she think she is! I am the future homecoming queen, I should have her respect!
“Come on little geeky girl, cat got your tongue?” Katie spitefully said.
That was it no one spoke to me like that! I lunged towards Katie and my fist connected with her nose.
“Take that bitch!” I screamed.
She kicked me off then punched me right in the gut. I staggered then punched Kati square in the eye. I smirked but it got wiped off my face when I was punched so hard that I was knocked out.
I could hear the telecom come over the speakers; I could barely make out the words through the fuzziness in my head.
“Katelyn Finch and Kimberly Parker detention after school!”
I looked over at Andy, and he was nowhere in sight.
And that's when everything went black.
