My face froze in shock, did he just say that? He did didn't he. God damn it I'm going to kill him.
"Oh, I didn't know you had a boyfriend. That's cool." Jaida said
I didn't know what to do. I didn't want him to seem like a creep so I just went with it. "Haha yea."
"Well uh, I'll just leave you two alone." She smirked at me. "I'll come by tomorrow morning."
As Jaida walked out I shot Kade a death stare. "What was that? We are not dating I just met you!"
"It's my protective instinct." He chuckled and sat down next to me. "I promise I don't want to hurt you. For gods sakes we were literally made for each other. Alexa-"
I cut him off. "Just call me Lexi, okay? Everyone else does and you not doing it just messes my brain up." I blurted out.
"Okay, Lexi I want you do move to my territory with me. I can care for you, you'll have everything you want."
"Are you crazy? You could be a murderer for all I know. Just leave me alone for now okay? All of this new stuff is crazy and it's stressing me out. Please leave." I said calmly.
He didn't look hurt like I expected. He looked like he understood me, he just left. He didn't resist or anything.

No one visited my room again for the next two days. My mom was busy with work. But what bothered me most is that Jaida never came. I decided to call Tyler and ask him if she went anywhere.
"Hey Lexi, what's up?" He answered.
"Hey Ty, do you know where Jaida is? She didn't visit me like she said she would."
"Well she said this morning she was going out to take some more pictures of that crime scene, then she was going to visit you. She never came?" He asked.
"Actually I remember she said she went to get coffee. I'll just go, sorry bye." I hung up.
I have to get to her. Who knows something might have happened. I quickly got up and pulled the IV out of my arm. I got dressed in the clothes I was admitted in.
I snuck out the front door and waited for the bus outside. When it came I got off at the stop closest to the woods and started walking. When I got to the crime scene there was still blood on the snow. It was strange because it had snowed sense the attack and it would have covered it up.
I realized the blood was fresh and that there was a trail of it. I followed it and saw her, laying on the ground. I ran over to her and kneeled besides her.
"Jaida, what happened? Who did this to you?" I asked her.
I heard a howling in the distance, like in my dream. Except I knew this was real. I tried to pick Jaida up on my arm. We walked together and tried to get out while the howling was getting closer.
All of a sudden I was tackled to the ground. Jaida managed to stay up. The cold show stung my face as I looked up and saw a giant grey wolf. Jaida stared at it in horror, but it didn't seem to care about her.
"Go get help!" I yelled to her. She limped/ran away towards the road.
I stood up and faced the wolf. It seemed to just be watching me. I heard growls behind me as I turned around to see three more wolves, except the one in the middle was bigger than all of them. I stood up, but just as I gained my balance the big one knocked me against a tree.
I was dizzy, I couldn't move. 'This is how I will die' I thought.
I lost consciousness for a second, yet when I gained it back it looked like the wolves were fighting. There was a black wolf fighting them. Kade? All of a sudden I blacked out.
~
I slowly gained consciousness and I realized I was in my bedroom. Kade was sitting next to me.
I sat up and looked at him. "Did... Did you save me?"
He nodded.
"Thank you, I thought... I thought I was going to die."
"I know." He said. "And I know that you don't want to talk about this now. But in my territory you will be safe. Out in the open, you are hunted. But where I live I can protect you."
"Kade, you know I don't want to leave my family."
"But you might have to if things like this keep happening. You almost died tonight, and what if no one is there to protect you next time."
I thought about it. Maybe this isn't such a bad idea.
"Plus if you do go," he paused. "Maybe we can work on our relationship." He smiled at me.
I thought for a while.
"Okay, I'll go."
