"HELP, ANYONE, PLEASE!!!" You said as you ran through the forest that was clear coated with white snow. As you ran fast, you tripped but got back up quickly as you were running from something.
You turned around to see if anything was coming behind but you didn't see anything except for your tracks. You started to breathe faster as you came prepared to jump over a log that laid in front of you. But instead you feel the cold ground on the other side as you fell on your back.
You prepared yourself to get up but your coat was caught on the log. "PLEASE HELP ANY-," You try to pull off the coat when two dogs who have been bitten. Their mouths were bloody, and slobber was pouring out. "Oh God, oh God... SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!!!" The Walker dogs slowly walked over to you.
Its been a couple of months before you realized the infection could turn animals too. The dogs finally reached a point close enough to you, they pounced and you closed your eyes, but before the dogs could taste your flesh you heard a gun go off.
You slowly opened your eyes and saw the two German Shepherds laying next to you with bullets in their heads. You looked up seeing a boy, your age (15) with brown hair, brown eyes and a Sheriff's hat. He looked and pointed his gun at you, but instead of begging for him not to shoot you, you stood up and hugged him and began to cry.
"Thank you! Thank you! You have no idea how far I ran trying to lose those biters. Thank you, I-..." You stopped and looked at the boy, he was staring at you. "What's your name?" You asked. You let go of him and stood curiously. The boy looked at you like he was mad, "That doesn't matter," The boy said as he started to turn and walk away.
"All you need to do is go back to your group," he said. I sighed, "But that's the problem, I don't have a group to go back to." He stopped and turned and looked at you. "My family, my friends... my group... they all died. I've been running for months from these things. Hiding from them," you say gesturing to the dogs.
"These biters are different from Walkers. Walkers can smell you from a few feet away, but these things... animals. They can smell you from miles away. They can track you. And that's what happened to my family, they tracked us and now it's just me," I explained.
The boy looked at you but turned his head to think for a minute. "I'm alone now, I cant go back, I have to keep moving forward. My family was the one thing I was living for and now I have nothing to live for," I continued, "I saw my sister die, I could've saved her BUT I DIDN'T and now this is my punishment. I'm all alone and I'll never get them back."
You fell to the ground crying, the snow crunched beneath you. "Everyone is alone now-a-days," the boy said holding out his hand to you. You looked at it and grabbed it, letting him help you up. You looked each other in the eyes, "Ethan," he said.
"What?" You asked. "My name, Ethan," he clarified, putting his gun away. Then he held his knife out to you, you looked at it. "I lost my mom and my twin brother, Grayson... I know how you feel." You looked up at him and smiled then gently took the knife.
You and him started walking out of the forest of snow. "Ethan? Is it possible to fall in love with someone you just met?" You smiled at him. " I don't know... is it?" He said as he grabbed your hand like you were the only girl in the world.
