It was finally all set. His traps perfectly planned with no way for this dark knight to escape. If, by some twist of fate, this man managed to escape one, a next would be right there to follow.
Now, it was time to set the bait.
Edward went out to the WayneTech building where the biggest corporate douchebags worked. He knew that this masked man couldn't resist saving one of them, so why not kidnap three of them? It makes it more...interesting.
But no, why kidnap three, when you can kidnap one single person, who is worth forty of these middle class men?
He could barely be called a man. They say that his parents were murdered in cold blood right before his eyes. He wouldn't be much of a fight, he was a puny young man who had never been in a fight in his life.
Bruce Wayne.
It was settled. This was his target. No doubt his little butler would offer a reward for anyone who could find him. But the dark knight doesn't need money. He would come anyway. Edward had no doubt about this.
Edward stalked silently outside WayneTech Enterprises, waiting for Bruce Wayne to come out of the building. He had taken his chauffeur for a little joy ride.
Finally, Edward thought, How long does it take to lock up an office room? As Bruce Wayne came out of the building. But he didn't head towards the limousine. Instead, he dashed around the corner into the alleyway. A few seconds later, he saw him. The caped crusader started jumping from roof to roof.
"There's no way..." Edward mumbled under his breath. No way in hell the wimpy little Bruce was this fighting vigilante.
It turns out losing his parents had really taken its toll.
