Batman was confused. Edward could tell that he has won, that Batman couldn't solve it.
What breaks the moment you say it's name?
Batman typed in, "Back." Such a pathetic answer. The screen paused, he had one more chance before dying a gruesome death.
He had thirty seconds left. Edward knew then that he was one step closer to being the King of Gotham. Five. Four. Three. Two. One.
The floor beneath Batman and Alfred fell.
"Tsk, tsk, young Bruce. Did you honestly believe you can defeat me? Pathetic," Edward chanted over the intercom.
"Who are you??" The man replied from behind the mask, "What do you want? Show your face!"
Edward stepped took an elevator down, but made sure he was safe on the other side of bulletproof glass, in the safe zone.
Alfred's chair had tipped over, he was flailing on the ground, trying wiggle out of the chains, but to no avail.
Batman saw Edwards face.
"I, Master Bruce, am the Riddler. And I am smarter than you," Edward teased, "And I am the King! Of Gotham City."
Edward pressed a button, he wanted to watch him die slowly and painfully. The walls on either side of them propelled forward in a rather quick pace, like a trot.
It was amusing watching the Bat try to grab his little friend, for it shocked them both when he tried. He couldn't use his hook, for he activated an electrical current to the beams above them.
Edward had something that the Bat didn't: The ability to adapt. He knew the only possible escape option he had was this little hook. He realized that when the Bat tried to use it before.
"Riddle me this:" Edward whispered, "What has wings like a bat, and a brain half the size? The answer's YOU, Bruce!
The walls got closer and closer, they started to push Alfred towards the center of the room. Batman had to walk towards the center to avoid touching the walls. The walls had finally me then both in the center of the room.
Edward heard everything. The cracking bones, the screech of pain, and he could see when the walls came back apart the man who had once been called the Batman.
He had finally did it. He had killed him.
