Cadence:

"Cadence Nelson! He kissed you and you didn't bother to tell me!" screamed Kel as she popped her bright blue bubble gum.

"I know and I'm sorry," I took a sip of my lemonade iced tea from Starbucks.

"Is he a good kisser?" I rolled my eyes and started up my car, "Well I'm waiting," she started poking my arm and I merged into the freeway.

"Yes he's a good kisser," she clapped her hands and stomped her feet.

"You guys are going to get married and have babies. You're going to ask your best friend, me, if I can be the Aunt!" I gripped the steering wheel and looked over at her.

"Chill! It was just a kiss," she rolled her eyes and we both jumped at my phone ringing.

"It's Lucas!" I reached over and tried to grab the ringing phone out of her hands.

"Hello Lucas," Kel spoke into the phone and I could see her frown, "She's not available right now," I grabbed the phone and pressed it between my ear and my shoulder blade.

"Sorry about Kelly," I heard him laugh.

"It's fine. What are you doing right now?" I got off the freeway and made a left turn towards Kel's house.

"Dropping off Kelly. Why?" Kelly looked at me and started jumping up and down in her seat.

"He's totally going to ask you out," she whispered and I slapped my hand over her mouth.

"Do you want to go out with me tonight?" Kelly screamed under my hand and I pulled up in front of her house.

"I would love too," Kelly licked my hand, dropping the phone in my lap, "Kelly!" she smirked and got out of the car.

"I want all the details tonight," she walked into her house and I picked up my phone again.

"What time are you picking me up?" I pulled away from the curb and drove towards my house.

"How about now?" My face went white and I looked down at the clock.

"How about 30 minutes from now?" he paused and I pulled onto my street.

"The thing is, I'm already at your house," I turned the corner and Lucas was standing in my front porch.

"Um," I pulled into the drive way and exited the car,"This is a surprise," he smiled and handed me a bouquet of Lilly's.

"I got you these."

"How'd you know my favorite flower was the Lilly?" he kissed the cheek.

"You mentioned it awhile back," I unlocked the front door and invited him in.

"I will be right back and make yourself comfortable," I walked up stairs and went straight for my toothbrush, make up, and deodorant. I ran a brush through my hair and walked back down stairs.

"Ready," I nodded and he placed his hands on the sides of my face.

"Yep," I smiled and welcomed the warmth onto my flushed cheeks. He placed a soft kiss on my lips and I melted into his warm body. His hands moved to my hips and I touched the back of his neck. We staying like this, until Lucas pulled away.

"Let's go. We have places to be," we walked out and drove to the mystery place.

"Do you like coasters?" I nodded and he pulled into the parking lot.

"Yes!" he helped me out of the car and we walked over to the kiosk.

"Two tickets," I looked through my purse and Lucas cleared his throat, "I got it," I smiled and shoved my wallet back into my purse. We went through the security check and rushed over to the first roller coaster. We stood in line holding hands, hugging, or kissing.

"Okay tell me about your family," I looked up at him and smiled.

"Its just me, my brother, and my mom," he laced our fingers together and looked down at me.

"I live with my dad," we talked about our lives and favorite things making the line move quicker.

"How many?" the blue and white stripe dressed girl asked. Sounding not to interested in what we had to say.

"Two," Lucas tugged me up to the very front of the coaster car,"Are you okay with the front, Cade?" I smiled and watched the car leave the station. The next coaster pulled into the station and the bright orange gates opened. I turned and handed him my purse and took a seat. I pulled down the restraints over my shoulders and right against my lap.

"Are you ready?" Lucas slipped into the seat next to me and pulled down his restraints.

"Oh yeah," he grabbed my hand and we looked up at the light board.

"Head back, face forward, and enjoy the ride!" the announcer said and I felt heart beat rapidly in my chest. I watched as the light changed from red, to yellow, and green. The car launched off at fast speeds into a 360 degree loop. I let out a loud scream and gripped onto his hand for dear life. When we arrived back in the station, I was breathing deeply and Lucas was laughing.

"That was crazy!" he scouted and I agreed lifting the restraint over my head, "Next coaster," Lucas stated and I took his hand and followed him into the line leading up to the next loopy coaster.

We sat on the edge of a fountain and watched the sunset.

"I think I'm in need of another corn dog," Luc stated and I nodded in agreement.

"Thank you for today Luc."

"I want you to know that I'm serious about you. About us," he replied as we walked over to the corn dog stand.

"I'm starting to believe you. It's just going to take time okay?" he kissed my forehead and smiled.

"I'll wait forever."
