Chapter 8:Family Problems

-Danny's POV·
Me and Toka were talking at my locker before Dash slammed his hands on both sides of Kashi's head.She didn't even flinch."Well...I see you have this under control..."I said sliding next to her."You know,I don't understand why you think you even had a chance with me."Kashi sighed as she closed her locker,also gaining the attention of everyone in the whole hallway."But why Fen-Ton?!"Dash asked,keeping Kashi in his reach.Her voice remained calm,but I could tell she was pissed."Have you met yourself?You're insecure,idiotic,like a human sponge that absorbs peoples pain only to make you feel better about yourself."She snapped back,hiding her glowing fist behind her back."Yeah...We're gonna go before you kill somebody."I said grabbing her other hand and dragging Kashi out.Kashi glared back at Dash as her fist stopped glowing and smiled at me."What's the plan?It's one more day til Friday!!"She said laughing as she entwined her fingers in mine."Hmm.....Video games?"I asked slinging my bookbag over my shoulder farther.But as for Toka,she had nothing but that spell book in her hand."What game you wanna get owned at?"She asked raising an eyebrow as her team joined her side."Well...I guess whatever you choose."I laughed back."GAMING MARATHON!"Max,Nick and Phoenix exclaimed in unison as they raced in front of us,Phoenix stumbling over her dress a couple times.Toka laughed and chased after them,still holding my hand.Well,I'm gonna lose at gaming.

Ten Minutes Later,-Kashi's POV·
"Wha-How the he-How did you beat me?"I asked looking over at him."Minutes of experience."He laughed smirking at me."You got owned at your own game." Phoenix,Nick and Max said in unison,shaking their heads.I inhaled deeply then glared at them,them immediately out the door."Minutes of experience..."I muttered,falling on my back and closing my eyes."Hm...Wait where are your parents?"Danny asked raising a eyebrow.I opened my eyes immediately and stared at him."Was that a bad question?"Danny asked."No.."I said,feeling my eyes soften."So..."He trailed off as I sat back up."Their dead."I said sighing.Danny's eyes widened and everything was silent for a good 5 minutes.Until I started crying.Danny pulled me to his chest by my side and rested his head on mine.

-Danny's POV·
Wow...I'm heartbroken too honestly."Well..At least you have your team..Their like family right?"I asked.Kashi pulled back and I wiped the tears away."Right.You're family too.My 14 year old husband!"Kashi smiled and hugged me,us falling over."Aww!Thanks."I said laughing.Anyway,after that we played the WHOLE game and defeated Lyric in a couple hours.Yes,we were playing Sonic Boom:Rise Of Lyric.And yes,we did fall asleep...

-Kashi's POV·
I woke up to Danny's arm around me and his fingers entwined in mine.Blush dominated my face as I looked out the window.Still dark.Creaking was heard from Danny's side and I turned my head towards the noise."Morning Toka."Danny yawned,also blushing."Morning..."I said sitting up to look at all the game cases,snacks and soda bottles all over the floor."Dang..."Me and Danny said in unison,then laughed."Shouldn't your parents be worried?"I asked looking at his black mess of tangled hair."Depends on what time it is."Danny leaned over and checked my phone."5:08 on the dot."He said falling on his back next to me."No sleep.You're helping me clean this up."I said poking his side.He finally rolled off of my bed and started picking up trash."And don't worry,the yelling doesn't start until 6:30."I laughed.He stuck his tounge out at me and tossed the bottles in the trash.

School:"Why are you guys so tired?"Sam asked looking at us yawning."Gaming and cleaning."We replied in unison as I noticed Dash staring at us."Oh wait Danny slept over?"Sam asked leaning on Tucker's shoulder,him too busy playing with his PDA."Accidentally."I yawned,"We fell asleep sometime after we defeated Lyric." "A short time after I think."Danny added,then we walked off to class after the bell rang.We fell asleep so much that our powers kept activating!Danny,he was resting his elbows on the desk,and when those sunk through he slammed his head against the desk.And me,I sunk through the desk and rolled over before someone saw me."You okay Toka?"Danny asked peering over the edge at me."Yeah...Just really tired after last night."I said sitting up."What did you do last night?"Lancer asked raising a eyebrow."Play every last bit of Sonic Boom:Rise of Lyric."Danny replied yawning."What's that?"Lancer asked.Me and Danny gasped."You've never heard of Sonic Boom?"We asked in unison.Lancer shook his head and looked at us curiously."Be right back."I said,then practically flipped off of my desk.I happen to have another console in my locker."Did you get that from home?"Danny asked as I started plugging everything in to the smart board."No.I have two.You work up a lot of money when you do jobs in different 'countries'."I said laughing as I tossed him a controller."How many of those did you do?"Danny asked,selecting Sonic."Trillions of them."Max replied pitting his head on the desk."Cool!"Sam and Tucker said in unison.I had selected Amy and we were waiting for the game to load.

After we defeated Eggman,we hadn't been paying attention to anything else.Everyone had moved their desks around us and were so absorbed in that game they barely blinked.And finally,we defeated Lyric for the second time."Did that seem harder?"I asked tossing my controller up and down."Yeah...Got anymore games?"Danny asked."You didn't even have to ask."I said laughing as I pulled a bag from under my desk and opened it."Ooh!What's this?"Danny asked picking up my second favourite game,SPLATOON!!

"You got so much to learn sugar."I said patting his head and smiling at his blush.Soon,we ended up defeating every boss in Splatoon...And then school was over."Wow...We really just spent an entire day gaming..."Danny said as I tossed everything back in my locker."Aren't you guys tired?"Sam asked leaning on my shoulder as Max leaned on the other."Not at all.You?"I asked looking at Danny."Nope.Hey can you guys cast spells too?"Danny asked."Nope.Kashi's the daughter of a wizard and and demon,so her power doubles.Unlike us,were just humans."Nick said as Phoenix trailed behind him."Where the he-"I began,before Danny slapped his hand over my mouth."Does being a demon include alot of cursing?"He asked putting his other hand on his forehead,as Dash peered around the corner."Eh kinda.Cursing runs on her mom's side.Magic runs on her dad's."Nick said laughing as I pushed Danny's hand away."Whatever.Oh wait today's Friday!!"I said,and grabbed Danny's wrist."Oh right...What's the plan?"Danny asked grabbing his bookbag.Me and Phoenix looked at each other then squealed,hugging each other."POOL PARTY!!"We said and sped out the door.
