I could remember it clearly now, clear as that day in the Park, mind the light fluffy clouds scattered around the sky.
It was December, I was at home, a little girl again, and I was running alongside my dog in the off-leash park. There were a lot of huskies and malamutes that day, they were frolicking about. Hugo, my loyal retriever mix, stuck close to my side at times, yet yeads ahead during others. He avoided the stream (saving me from having to wash him), and enjoyed dashing through the tall grasses in an open field. I was dressed casually; wearing the usual short sleeve with jeans and my signature scarf, which I still wear today. I patted Hugo on the head, and watched him chase a beagle for about ten minutes, and from a distance.
My mind moved to being at school, working with my close friends Joshua and Wolfe on the computers. We were the most advanced with them, and we were called the Tech Crew. I was proud of my posistion. Who knew that I would still be in contact with my Techie friends today, I keep them close. I remember typing up my first article on that very laptop, for the school paper. It was a notable article, too. I had covered a problem, involving lost lunches. It was a big deal back then.
I woke up completely, to Carson shaking my shoulder.
"You're going to have to come with me; Wevel seems to know what's going on." He picked me up by the elbow (very uncomfortable) and led me to a wall, which he kicked, knocking down a door. I was still half-asleep, but snatched my scarf on the way out.
"Stormy, do you have a cell phone? In your bag, your pocket, with you at all?" My breathing was shallow, and my heart was beating faster than normal.
"N..no, not with me...at home.." I stuttered. Carson sighed.
"A laptop?"
"Yes, but you seem to have taken my bag."
"True, true." Carson led me into a busy street; I had no idea where I was. He held a firm grip; the man knew my intentions to escape and go home. "We will take a.."
"Hold it..why are you doing this? Just to get Wevel's theory? I doubt it, not-Carson." While he was shocked, I jerked my arm away and ran for it. I dashed uphill until I reached a shopping mall; I slipped through, taking as many turns as possible. I dashed up an escalator, and eventually found myself near a monorail station. Thank goodness, I thought, scanning my prepaid-monorail-card that I kept in my pocket. In Seattle, I had a lot of people to interview, so I had to take the monorail...a lot...
Zipping through the unknown town, I busied myself with an abandoned magazine. I wasn't very interested in how eggs exfoliated the skin, I was sure they didn't, but reading material kept me from losing my marbles.
Feeling the train stop, I hurried off. Where am I now? I thought, facing the largest hedge maze I had ever seen.
"Need help?" I whihpped my head around.

AbenteuerAll Stormy Triston did was interview a leading scientist, no biggie. He leaked to her his master theory, still no biggie. Snoop in her notes? A little less than normal but bearable, it was Wevel's fault on releasing the theory. Add not-Carson, a lo...
