The music was pumping loud, piercing your ears in a way that made you light-headed. The crowd around you made it difficult for you to breathe. The dancing bodies grinded against each other, sweating heavily, their moves in sync with the music. The lights didn't help much, blinking unceasingly, making it difficult for you to difference people from each other. They were just a mass of sweaty bodies from where you were standing. You were in a corner, leaning against the wall, a drink in your hand, your eyes examining the crowd.

Your friend had left you a long time ago, to dance with some random guy that'd picked her up at the bar.

You'd insisted you wanted to stay in that night, you weren't in the mood for loud music and drunken people around you, but she'd promised it would be fun. But then again, she'd also promised she would be back in a minute; that was thirty minutes ago.
She wasn't a bad friend, not at all. She always tried to include you in all her plans, make you feel included. She just liked to have too much fun, and if that meant leaving you behind for the night, she didn't stop to think twice. Or maybe she wasn't a good friend.

Your phone had died, leaving you incommunicated, unable to call a cab. So you decided to wait for your friend to come back. Deep inside though, you knew it was probably pointless.

Out of nowhere, from the centre of the dancefloor, you saw someone staring at you.
It was this tall guy, red hair and dressed in black, from head to toe. You couldn't tell much about him from so far away, but you were sure as hell he was looking at you.
In your eyes it didn't seem logical though. Maybe he was checking out someone next to you? But when you looked around, there was no one. Just you. You looked back at him, and he was still there, just standing, not dancing, with his head tilted, as he licked his lips, looking at you up and down.

He smiled then, and started walking your way.

You didn't know what to do. Usually when guys tried to approach you at the club, you had someone with you to get you out of the situation. But now there was no one, and you checked your odds then. You could just walk away, but maybe he'd chase after you. Or you could let the guy introduce himself and then maybe reject him nicely? You were clueless.

Apparently, it'd taken so long to make up your mind, that he guy was already standing in front of you, with a big smile.

- Hi! – He yelled over the music. He then leaned closer and talked in your ear so you could hear him better – You look lonely... - He observed. You smiled politely.

- My friend just went to get a drink – You lied. It was just out of instinct though. Usually you wouldn't even reply to him, but for some reason he didn't give you the wrong vibes.

- Really? 'Cause let me tell you, I've been checking you out for the past hour, and the girl that was with you at the bar left with another guy like fifteen minutes ago – He looked a little sorry for you. You were trapped – Unless you came with another friend – He said and you didn't answer – Do you want me to get you another drink?
