"You outran Spangles?" Stark asks, coming into the kitchen. I chuckle and turn away from my concoction.

"With the help of a cheetah." I reply and he laughs loudly.

"I'm- what is that?" He asks, alarmed by the bowl beside me.

"Cookie dough?" I say looking at the mush, unsure.

"No more cooking in my kitchen." Tony pushes me out of the kitchen and into a chair by the counter.

"But." I say sadly, "Cookie dough."

"You're going to burn down my tower." He whines, looking at the half burned bowl of cookie dough, "What did you do? Try to cook the bowl?!"

"Well-" I start before Natasha speeds into the room.

"Stark, Atrox we need you in the conference room now." The Russian informs us and leaves the room, Stark and I share a look.

"I'm sorry for yelling at you."

"I'm sorry for calling you a robot." He mumbles back and starts leaving the room.

"What do you think happened?" I get up and follow him.

"I don't know, but they could've just told Jarvis to summon us." Tony replies, my brow furrows in thought.

"Situation?" I ask once we open the door, everyone turns to us. Everyone's here: Rogers, Romanoff, Barton, Banner, and even Thor.

"Nice of you to join us." Fury says, looking over at Stark and I with his hands behind his back.

"Sorry sir, I-"

"She almost burnt the kitchen down with cookie dough." Tony grumbles and takes a seat. I roll my eyes and sit down as far away from the billionare as possible.

"The situation, miss Atrox, is that a HYDRA facility just went off the grid."

"What level?" I question and the other Avengers' eyes turn to me.

"Eight." The Director replies in a grave tone before turning to the others, "We categorize HYDRA facilities by how heavily we observe them. How big of a threat they serve."

"We only have three eight's." I add, Fury nods.

"How'd it get off the grid?" Romanoff asks.

"That's what you need to find out." Fury relpies, slinging some files on the table, "I want an update in 48 hours."

"Director, this is the one I burnt down." I say after scanning the contents of one of the files.

"Well, its operations continued after your escape." He replies and leaves the room. I scrub my face with my hands.

"We need to go in." Steve decides after several minutes of everyone reading through the papers, "Vera, I need you to stay back."

"Stay back?" I sit up straight from my lounging postition and stare straight at him, "No, I'm coming."

"Steve's right, it could trigger you." Natasha says, closing a file and passing it to Banner.

"I know the building inside and out, I can help."

"No." Steve looks her in the eye.

"Look, I need to go back. I need to get some files that I didn't take before."

"I agree with Atrox." Stark adds, barely glancing away from a file, "If she wants to go, let her."

"Banner? Clint?" Steve sighs. Bruce looks up, and adjusts his glasses as Clint crosses his arms.

"If we had more time, I would say yes." Bruce looks at me before continuing, "But we can't predict how going back will affect you, I'm sorry. No."

"It would be a way to see her powers in action. If she thinks she's okay to go back, I believe her." Clint agrees with Tony and I. We all look to Thor who looks to me. He has the deciding vote and I haven't even met him.

"If Lady Vera trusts herself, so do I." Thor concludes.

"I guess that's that." Steve sighs, "You can come, but if anything comes up-"

"I'll leave the premises." I beam at the group as we conclude the meeting and everyone heads out to suit up. Soon, only Thor and I are in the room. I walk over to introduce myself.

"I'm Vera Atrox." I hold out my hand, and he shakes it firmly.

"It's a pleasure to finally meet you Lady Vera, I'm Thor Odinson."

"Just Vera." I correct, "Thanks for agreeing with me back there."

"It seemed like the right side to choose."

"And hopefully it was." I look at my feet for a moment before looking back at Thor, "Thanks again."

I leave the room quickly to head to my room, but Stark stops me halfway there.

"Stark, I need to suit up." I tell the annoyance.

"Is it the standard SHIELD issued one?" He asks.

"Yes.... Why?" I look at him suspiciously as he rolls his eyes.

"Jarvis created you a new one. It's Avenger worthy."

"Excuse me?" I cross my arms.

"I had Widow put it in your room." He walks off without another word and I take a deep breath. What's wrong with my standard uniform?
