~EDITED
I was very surprised when I saw a letter from a school called Hogwarts.
Everyone thought I was a creep and so did I whenever anything unusual happened. But according to the letter, I was a witch. A real witch! My father was surprised too.
"I knew you were special!" He hugged me when he read the letter.
It was first September and I finally joined Hogwarts.
The school was so amazing and I was sorted in Gryffindor.
I made many friends which I could never do in muggle world because everyone thought I was a freak. Making friends was a really good feeling.
One day, it was an off day when I was walking on the ground full of people, and I saw a boy sitting on the foot of tree all by himself. He was watching over everyone but no one seemed to notice him.
"Hi!" I walked over him and tried to start conversation with him.
He just glared at me and looked away. How rude! I was about to walk away but I thought to myself, 'what if he is actually lonely inside?'
We were in out dress so I didn't know which house did he belong to. So I asked, "what house do you belong to?"
He glared at me but decided to answer me. "Slytherin," I gulped for his ice cold tone but I sat beside him. "I am Delphini Walker from Gryffindor," I smiled at him but he didn't.
"Tom Riddle," he simply answered after silently glaring at me by side eyes for few seconds and looked around like he was doing earlier.
I think he doesn't like my company. Or may be he doesn't like to be with anyone.
"Why are you alone?" I asked anyway.
"I don't like to be with any people. I hate them," he replied simply and didn't really care about my existence there.
"Why do you hate them? What did they do to you?"
"They are just annoying,"
"Like me?"
"Yeah... What?" He first time saw me face to face properly. "I don't know, I guess so," he said and went back to staring at somewhere else.
"I used to be lonely too," I started and it seems he was interested now.
"You? You were a lonely person? Are you kidding me?"
"Before I joined Hogwarts, everyone thought I was a creep. I was bullied in the muggle school. They bet me, they said bad about me, and at the end I was always lonely," I said.
"I was same too. The muggles did not like me either. All of them thought I am weird but when they tried to taunt me, I just hurt them back so that they wouldn't hurt me." to my surprise, he actually replied.
I was so happy that even a little but he opened up to me. I did not like to see lonely people because I was once a lonely person myself and I knew the pain very well.
"How did you hurt them? Are you so strong?" I looked at his arms that stuck out from the half shirt which was very thin for his age. I wondered how would he managed to fight with someone.
"I used magic. I didn't know I was a wizard so I never knew I was using magic though,"
"So your parents were muggles too?"
"No. I mean, I don't know. I was grown in an Orphanage. What about you? Are you muggle born?"
"I am sorry to hear that. And I don't know about my mother but my father is a muggle. He was always worried for me because I had some unnatural abilities. But when I got a letter from Hogwarts, he was very happy for me,"
"You got a letter from the school? I got none,"
"Then how did you come to know that you are a wizard?"
"Professor Dumbledore came to talk to me in the Orphanage. And he explained it,"
"So you have already met the transfiguration teacher before attending Hogwarts? He is such a kind teacher,"
"He is, indeed," he agreed.
We talked some more and came to know lot about each other.
I understand that he was disliked when he was among muggles but why was he still disliked when he was in Hogwarts? I didn't really get that.
