100+ reads in just 2 (or 3?) days!? I didn't expect so much for my first story!! Thank you so much for reading this! I am so happy!!

"It wont harm you," he shushed me and embraced me in his arms.

"But I want to know what exactly is going on. What was that snake-thing there?"

"Shh!" he cautiously looked around and took me into the corner.

"That is my pet,"

"A pet!? Are you sure?" I could feel my vein pounding very fast due to fear.

"Why? Is Hagrid the only one allowed to secretly keep pet in this school?" he said sarcastically.

"No, I didn't mean that..."

"It's alright. It wont harm you anyway. I told him not to look at you, so it wont harm you,"

His lines made me shiver. If that snake looks into my eyes, that will affect me. Looking at its eyes will kill me...

Is that mean...

"Was that a Basilisk?" I asked gingerly.

I thought my heart nearly stopped when he nodded.

I have read about Basilisk in some books. It was the most dangerous snake in the entire world. Looking at its eyes would cause an instant death. But I never believed it actually existed because every book I read about it was a fictional stories and there was not much information so I always thought it was a fictional creature.

"Hey, don't be scared," he stroke my hair gently.

How did he tame a Basilisk? Most importantly, why was he allowing it to travel around the school? Is he really up to killing someone? Was Rubeus right about what he said about Tom?

"Are you planning something bad?" I asked gingerly.

"I am planning for some people for what they deserve," he answered the way he always does. In a riddle form.

"Please tell me clearly, I want to know what you're up to," I pleaded but he just shook his head.

"You will come to know it very soon, he said and kissed me gently on my forehead.

"Just stay strong, and believe me that I wont let anything happen to you and I will be on your side forever,"

I had a bad feeling even after he assured about it. Why do I feel so scared?

Couple of days after the incident, it was dinner time when Professor Dumbledore walked up to the podium and hit his goblet with fork several times for the attention.

"As the deputy headmaster of this school, I have to hardheartedly inform you all that due to some creature and Dark Arts activity performed by someone, I'm afraid this school will be closed under the order of the Ministry of Magic," he took a break and continued, "Hogwarts will remain closed until the creature is identified. It might need to shut down in the worst case,"

As he said, I could hear booing from all the house tables. Howsoever hatred was developed between other houses and Slytherin house, or no matter some of us disliked most of the subjects that were taught, we still loved Hogwarts so much.

No matter what, Hogwarts is our home.

"Hogwarts Express will be leaving the school tomorrow evening sharply at 6. Every students are requested to be ready with their respective stuffs and be seated in the great hall by 5:30 at the evening," he said and sat back in his seat.

No! I wouldn't want to leave the school like this! I need to talk with Tom. He started this and he must to end this.

"Tom, I know you wouldn't like this to happen to the school, would you?" I asked him.

"I will definitely stop this. Don't worry, Delphi, I will make sure nobody will have to leave tomorrow," he gave me reassuring hug but for some reason, I was scared. I had some feeling that something bad was going to happen the next day...

Everyone was rushing here and there and all the classes were empty due to the cancellation of the classes. I had finished my packing already because I had to pretend normal and don't know about anything in front of people and then I was roaming around in the hope to meet with Tom.

But instead, I saw Rubeus in a potions room talking with someone.

When I went in, I saw that he was talking with Aragog.

"Rubeus..." I said silently.

"Delphini..." he greeted.

"I'm sorry I was not nice to you lately. I think I was jealous of him," he said honestly.

"No, it's okay," I sighed.

"Are you two doing well?" He asked me.

I nodded in response.

"By the way, I came to know about something," I started.

"What?"

"About the creature for which the school is going to be closed,"

"You know it?" he widened his eyes. "What is it?"

"It is Basilisk. It's Tom who did it. But trust me, he promised me that he is going to make everything fine again,"

"So it was him! I knew it!"

"But trust me Rubeus, he will make sure that Hogwarts wont be closed down,"

He frowned.

"But I got very bad feeling about this," he sighed.

"Don't worry, everything will be fine," I gave him a friendly hug, and he hugged my tiny body back. Any body would be tiny in front of his huge figure though.

Just then, I heard the door bang.

"Tom?"

He was standing there, furious.

I guess two more chapters to go. I said it was going to be 10 or so but now I think that it will be completed soon.

Oh em gee!! I had never completed any story so fast like this!
