"Stop it!" I yelled as the squirt of water hit my face. Carson was holding his stupid water gun and spraying it on me. We were on the beach right now. Carson laughed "Next time, I'm bringing the Super Soaker 3000. The Super Soaker 2000 is terrible." I grab a bunch of water from the ocean and throw it at him. While he was distracted from the water, I run away. I turn around to see Carson chasing me across the beach. I bump into Ethan and Daniel on the way. Then they started chasing me.
"Get her!" shouted Carson. Ethan was the fastest out of all of them since he did a lot of sports. Ethan had done track since the age of nine. Before I knew it, someone wrapped their hands around my waist and picked me up. It was Ethan of course. He shifted my body so he was carrying me bridal style. He carried me deeper across the ocean and he dumped me in the water. I take Ethan's hand from underwater and pull him down with me. When I rise from the water, I see Ethan rise from under me, then I notice that I'm on his back. Ethan was giving me a piggyback ride. Ethan ran across the water with me still on his back.
"Chicken fight!" yelled Ethan. Daniel put Felix on his back and I wrestled with Felix. Both of us were having a piggyback fight. Felix pushes me, but I regain my balance on Ethan's shoulder. Ethan pushes Daniel from under me which causes Felix to lose his balance a little. I use that to my advantage and push Felix. Felix falls in the water. Ethan and I laugh. Felix gets up and starts laughing too "That was a good one Mack" I get down from Ethan's back and give him a high five. On the sand, I see Zack and Zayn making sand castles with their bucket and toy shovels. Everyone is on the beach, except Tony who is on his video game and Nicholas who exploring the beach house's underground library.
"Thanks," I say back. Felix puts on sly face "But not as good as this," he says before tackling me into the water. I get up and start laughing. I splash some water on his face. We had been playing the entire day until it was about evening time. Carson comes out from the house with a picnic basket.
"I have food!" he yells. Everyone races to where he sat the picnic basket. I lay my towel against the sand and sit on it. From the picnic basket, I grab, an apple, a sandwich, a cookie, and a bottle of water. Everyone else gets their food except Zack and Zayn who left early.
Suddenly my phone buzzes. Hoping it's not from Carter, I pick it up and see that it's from Lauren. Lauren was my best friend my art school in London. She sent me a picture of her and some of my other friends with Justin Bieber. Oh, I miss Lauren so much. I hate the fact that she met Justin Bieber without me. I take a deep breath.
"Is it that Carter boy or worse... Ruby." I shake my head "It's Lauren I say quietly. "You mean Lauren from Keaton Art Academy," asks Daniel "Yeah," I say back. I miss London and my best friend Lauren so much. Hopefully, I can go during winter or spring break. I felt one hot tear drop onto the sand. I wiped my eyes. Man, this week has been emotional for me. "It's okay Mack. We'll see them soon enough" says Ethan "Remember Emily?" Emily was Ethan's girlfriend back in New York. They had broken up about two months before we moved.
"I still miss her" said Ethan sadly. We spent the rest of the night by the beach. Eventually, we went to bed. The wedding was tommorow.
