Me and My Twelve Brothers

Chapter 7: First Day Part 2

Well the administration office told us that we were going to get tour guides. And guess who mine was. None other than Ruby Harrison. We were now walking to my Homeroom class. Ruby did seem okay to me today but I still disliked her. She glanced at my schedule "Hey, we have the same Homeroom teacher, Mrs. Ramirez" We turned to a door and opened it. There was a bunch of seats and I saw one of my twins which was Nicholas. But I could sense someone looking at me. I turned around to see Carter smirking at me. He waves at me and I roll my eyes. I walk over to where Nicholas was sitting but Ruby beat me to it. She starts talking to Nicholas about stuff he's not interested in because he's only staring at his book. I sat in a desk in between Carter and some girl with fiery red hair. Carter gave me his signature smirk "So I guess I'm honored to have the princess in my Homeroom" he said still smirking.

"Don't call me princess" I snapped back at him. I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned to see the red haired girl "Hi, I'm Early Johnson. You must be new since I haven't seen you around" I gave her a smile "Yeah, I'm Mackenzie" She held out her hand and I shook it. She looked at Carter and squealed "Hi Carter. You probably don't know me but I'm Early Johnson."

"Yeah, I do know you. You're the one that left secret admirer notes in my locker back in the eighth grade."  Her smile faded "You didn't like them I'm guessing" He shook her head. I glanced back at Nick who was still being talked to by Ruby. But this time, he was talking back to her and they were smiling. I barely see Nick smile anymore.

"Now, now class settle down we have new students today." I turned to the door which a teacher with tan skin, black and short curly. She smiled at me and looked at her clipboard "Mackenzie Willman, and Nicholas Willman please stand up" I stood up and so did Nick. "Why don't you tell us a little about yourselves"

I went first "My name is Mackenzie Willman I'm the triplet sister to Nicholas and Felix Willman. I have six older brothers and five younger brothers" Early looked at me suprised "You have twelve brothers. Do you have any sisters." I shook my head no. Early looked at me with sincerity "Oh, poor thing. Twleve brothers and not a single sister"she said. I gave her a smile.

"So, how does it feel to have twelve brothers" asked Early excitedly. We were in lunch and we had Art after this. Ruby was somewhere with her friends from the mall and my brothers were all taking up one table. I wanted to sit with them but Early dragged me here to sit with her and her friends. Suddenly two  girls came to our table. One had dark skin, hazel eyes, and bouncy and curly black hair. The other one had her hair dyed bubblegum pink and had blue eyes. "Mackenzie, meet my friends. The one with pink hair is Candice but we call her Candy for short. The other one is Abigail but we call her Abby for short. I forgot to tell you that some people call me Earls for short. What do you want us to call you for short" I smiled at the two girls and they gave me a smile back "Most people call me Mack" I said to them.

Abby and Candy sat at our table "Guys guess what!! Mack has twelve brothers believe it or not" Early said. Candy laughed "Yeah, I saw four kids in my homeroom with their last name as Willman" Abby said "The Felix one is pretty cute though. Is he like your twin or something. You guys look similar."

"He's actually one of my twins. Nicholas is my other twin so all together we're triplets" They all laughed "Must be hard being the only girl" said Candy. I nodded. Lunch was pretty fun until someone tapped my shoulder from behind. I turned to see Carter looking at me worried. I stood up and turned to the girls "Excuse me for one moment" They all nodded and continued to their conversation. Carter dragged me farther from the table until we were outside the cafeteria.

"Why aren't you sitting with my sister. Isn't she suppose to be your tour guide" I rolled my eyes "Since when did you care who I sat with. I made my own friends, I don't need your sister." Who was he to tell me who to sit with. He was not my boss and if he continues, I'll put him back to his place. Carter sighed "You do not want to be near those girls, especially Candice." I shook my head "Leave me alone Carter. If anything, their upgrades compared to your sister"

"Mack, please listen to me" he was practically begging and that was when I knew something was up. Carter doesn't beg and I've only known him for a week. But, I don't need another person to tell me what to do. I've already got six other boys doing that. "Fine" I said "I'm not saying, I'll ditch them but I'll keep an eye out. That's all I'm saying" Carter smiled at me. I sat down next to the girls again. "What was that all about" asked Early. "Nothing. Just Carter being Carter" I said. What was possibly wrong with these girls. They were really nice

"Are you going to the back to school carnival Mack. We're all going and maybe we can help you pick an outfit and we can go together" I liked that. It seemed better than going with my brothers. Speaking of which, I looked to the table of my brothers and they seemed to be having fun. I actually liked Whittletake Academy.
