I woke up with a groan as I kicked the blanckets off.Today was the day I was leaving.I left Tank on the bed in the blancket mountain as I packed what little I had in my backpack and then checked to see if I had my Ipod and charger. I had to go stop in town today so that I could get her a new color and a tag. I ran down the stairs and dumped some dog food in a plastic bag and I made some cereal. I sat down at the table, I had finished half when she came down the stairs and looked up at me for food. I got up again after a minute of scarfing food and put some more dog food in a throw-away bowl. I knocked on the Beta's door whom I learned was named John, he had a male dog named Rolo like the chocolate. Rolo was 3 year old mutt that was black and brown. As he opened the door I slightly pushed Tank in and said, "I have to go to Petco to buy some stuff! Watch her please!" and ran.
In my mind I mentally made a list.
1.Buy a backpack small enough for Tank to carry/ Doggy saddle bag.
2. Color and tags.
3.Leash
4.Some toys
5.Grooming stuff.
I was at Petco in 5 minutes. My sides heaved and felt cold as I bent down with my hands on my knees. It was a 10 mile straight sprint at shifter speed. My sides slowly stopped heaving as I walked into the store. I looked down the ile and spotted a camo medium dog saddle bag. As Tank was still a puppy she was a medium considering the measurments. She will be a large-XL when she is fully grown.I grabbed it and flipped the white price-tag $10.00. Cha-ching! I went on to the color section and found a black color quickly I flipped it again, $2.00.
I think the man upstairs is just happy with me. I checked my pockets again and made sure I had enough. I grabbed the cash and counted it, $100. That was what I needed, I'm not gonna go short this time.Deciding to get the tag when I'm about to exit the store I went to a different ile and saw a black leash with lightning bolts on it, $3.00. Grabing it I went down again and to the dog toys. I saw some made out of tires but quickly decided that she would chew through that. I decided on a kong and indestructible squeaky toys. I was exicted about this. I stopped at the end of the ile grabbing two bones, one for Rolo and one for Tank. The bones were only a dollor a peice. I looked up and walked around five iles to the one with the huge sighn that said 'Grooming'.I quickly went through and picked up a red small hand-held clippers along with the blood stop. I also picked up some spray that smelt of vanilla and some shampoo.
I put all of that in a basket I found lying around and went to the Make A Tag thingy. It lit up as I put a 5 in it and asked me to choose what tag I wanted. I choose a heart shaped tag that was a good size. I choose a three line tag also, instead of four. I typed in her name then my email, MiaKimberly@hotmail.com and it asked for something else so I put Pack Skipper. Humans will think that is a nick-name for her as the weres will know that I meant. I ran to the chash register as my total came up to $25.00.I walked out of the store and took a b-line to the woods as I ran I let my Cheetah come through making me faster than a Vampire. When I arrived John was playing fetch as the dogs barked. My eyes zeroed in on a tennis ball and I ducked quickly. I chuckled and got up as the dogs barreled past me, Tank kept up going a little faster than Rolo then he would speed up. I guess living with werewolves and a shifter would do that to you.
"I prefer not being dog food, thank you." I joked. I left the bag of stuff there on the grass before running up the stairs and getting my backpack and blowing a kiss to Brad. Back outside I set the backpack down and dumped the contents before swiping a bone and tossing it to John. "For Rolo." I said as he caught it.
I snapped the price tags of a few more things before putting it in the Saddle Bag, it was suprisingly light. "Tank! Come here!" I hollered watching closly as her movements froze mid-strode and snapped her head to me before completly turning and running to me. Smirking at her fast movements John chuckled at me.I adjusted the straps before snapping them. I then put only her color on. She proudly strode to John and looked up at him as if to say 'Look at me!'.
