The teacher waved to the crowd away as Mia made her way towards me- the guys still standing behind me. As she walked I got more and more nervous but as she stopped in front of me she gave me a huge hug. She was taller than me- actually she was tall nearly 6 foot! With the looks of a model and the fighting skills of a warrior she crushed me in the hug. I pulled back smiling slightly.
"I though you where in Venice?" I asked curiously.
The last time I heard Mia was leading a mission in Venice. Something about a group of rogue werewolves running a muck or something- I should really listen when people talk to me.
"Yeah I was I just got back a three days ago and dad thought since the mission was finished quicker than anyone thought I should start school this year." She informed me.
It was a rule that we called out dad father in front of him and others but we call him dad anyway because neither of us is very formal. She was wearing black leggings that went down to her ankles and grey ballet flats with a long grey jumper that fell to her mid thighs and a big black belt- since when does she look girly? Actually she s pretty girly but dresses the tomboy for missions- and since she's always on missions and fighting I suppose I'm not use to her dressing normal.
"Hey so you know Sappy?" Wil said in that voice that at first sounded friendly but as his friend it was really his I-want-to-get-in-you-pants voice.
"Yeah she's my little sister." Mia nodded.
I turned to the guys who where all in complete shock.
"Sister but your princess Mia?" Alex said but by the look on his face he had already figured everything out.
"Oops they don't know, do they?" Mia coughed and gave me an apologetic look.
"Not so much. Mia this is Wil, Dylan, Jason, Kev and Megan and Alex. Guys this is my sister Mia."
They all said their shocked 'hi's' except Alex who was just staring at me with a blank expression. I looked down at the floor but the silence was eating away at me so I looked up again. This time the expressions on my friend's faces killed me- they looked hurt and angry. I couldn't stand it so I did what I'm good at- I ran!
I just ran out the ballroom and up several flights of stairs and flew into my room. I fell on my bed and cried; they all hate me!
Mia's POV
Crap! I watched Saph run out of the room, her friends where about to go after her but I stopped them by walking in front of them.
"Let me go." I told them.
After all they look a little pissed but they also looked concerned so they would probably make things worse. They nodded and I toke of after Saph. I sniffed the air every so often to make sure I was following the right sent- thank you Saph for taking the stairs and not the lift.
I reached the door to a suit and pushed the unlocked door open, nice. I didn't stand around and admire it I walked straight to one of the bedroom and knocked son the door the sobs where coming from.
"Saph it's me, open the door."
After a sniffle she opened the door, her face was covered in tears and her eyes where all red and puffy. What else could I do but hug my little sis? She cried into my shoulder.
"They all hate me don't they?" she sniffed.
"Saph I really wish you wouldn't skip telling people your princess. I know you don't want to hang out with people that only want you for the title but..." she walked off to the bed on the left and plopped down on it.
"But if they are true friends and you lie, then you lose them. I know." She sighed reciting the same lines I give her all the time.
I walked over to the bed and sat next her with my arm around her shoulders.
"If they're your friends then they'll understand, just give them time it's a lot to take in." I soothed.
"You don't understand they wont forgive me, they won't want to be my friends! Alex is the price of the vampires! Why would they want to be my friends?"
"Wow, wait a second. You're friends with prince Alexander? How the hell did that happen?" I asked.
She pointed to the bed on the other side of the room.
"He's my roommate and Dylan and Jason are too. Kev and Wil live across the hall and Megan's dating Kev." She explained.
Oh I see the problem now. 'Prince of the vampire's best friends with princess of the werewolves'- that didn't really sound good.
"I could wipe their memories clean?" I offered.
Sappy's POV
What? She was seriously offering to wipe their memories clean? For me, but she could get into serious trouble especially considering she would be wiping Alex's memory.
"You'd do that?" I asked through teary eyes.
"Of course I would, you my little sister." Mia smiled.
So it's either I asked Mia to wipe my friends memories clean and risk her getting into serious trouble or I face my friends truthfully and risk losing them. I looked at my sister, I knew she would do anything for me and I would do anything for her because we were sisters and I loved her so much. But I couldn't ask her to risk everything for me- she could be banished or killed.
I sighed, wiping the tears from my face.
"No you're right, I should be honest. They deserve to know the truth because they've been such good friends to me. It's the least I can do to let them decide to forgive me or not." I nodded.
"Finally my big speeches are teaching you something, and you said they were pointless." Mia smiled triumphantly.
I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah, yeah. Save the 'I told you so' speech." I muttered.
The door opened slightly and Alex stood in the doorway, I got up with Mia.
"I'm going to go... leave you guys to it," She shrugged and walked out the room.
Great I'm stuck with the wrath of Alex all on my own.
