{2~Arrival}
It was not two days later when Hermione received an owl from McGonagall.
Dearest Hermione,
Thank you dearly for accepting my position finally! The staff is so thrilled to have you that I thought they would pull you in tomorrow to replace me!
Though I do wish to finish my last term, I am thankful to be leaving. It has been a long time teaching and taking care of young trouble-makers. Though, I never had anyone who made quite as much trouble and good as you, Mr. Potter and Mr. Weasley.
Best of Luck Hermione,
Minerva
She'd put the letter in with the box she had. It was small, but many letters were encased with it's use of an undetectable-extension charm. It easily held hundreds of letter when Hermione needed to remind herself she was a witch. Just like Harry, even after all of her studies, it was hard to remember when you go to do things around the house that could easily be completed with magic that they could be done with magic. Harry told her a myriad of times how Ginny kept reminding him that he didn't have to do everything by hand. The floor could easily clean itself, or he had no need of a car when he could simply apparate. Sometimes Hermione figured Harry as much of a Muggle-born as she was. In a hypothesis, the wizard was. That didn't matter, however, she had a whole new career to prepare for.

Hermione slowly readied over the course of summer for her new position at Hogwarts. She was looking forward to the new change, and with no pressure like the ministry provided, there would be ease to her job. Well, as much ease as being in the same building as Snape- Severus could cause her. Hermione didn't think she could ever get used to calling him by name.
So with her bags packed, her lesson plans from many meetings with McGonagall added to the myriad of books, Hermione Granger was ready - more than ready - to be the newest professor at Hogwarts. She found the idea like a novelty, her being a professor at the school that bred her magic. There was so much to being a professor that McGonagall had informed her of, and at a few points she was unsure she could handle it. Then, she was reminded that she was Hermione Granger and that help would always be given at Hogwarts to those who were to ask for it. She'd simply ask her friends, Neville or Draco could surely assist her.
And, as if it was a surprise, Hermione had chosen to arrive at Hogsmeade the day before term, August 31st, and pack her things into the school. It would be odd staying in the professor's quarters instead of the students'. The daunting task of moving her things would still be completed by house-elves however.
Harry and Ron had not been taken by surprise when they'd learned of the news. They both knew that the staff had been pining for her mind to teach there, a need to revolutionize the education as if it already hadn't been enough. It had produced her, hadn't it? Anyways, Hermione recollected the raised eyebrows on her friends as they listened to her story and how she'd been connived into accordance. Of course, they went out with Draco that night and told him the story with much more luster. The boy's always did get carried away.
Ginny, however, was surprised. She always thought Hermione would stick to her original plan and stay at the ministry no matter what. However, the newest Potter had eventually seen the reasoning when she recollected Hermione's secret admiration for one of the staff members. And books, but her admiration for those was not a secret....
In fact, Ginny and Luna were the only ones who knew of Hermione's slight taste for the man who's heart had long ago been claimed. This, however, meant Draco knew as well, but luckily it stopped there as it only proved Luna was a faithful fiancée. The girls never encouraged nor discouraged the thought of Hermione attempting to place herself delicately into Snape's already busy life. Simply, they had brushed it off as a school-girl crush. Something her eighteen-year-old body had created out of pity and a weird mix of justice for the man.
