"Star," I hoarsely said, my headaches were gone and I felt much better that I was more in control of myself. I stare at the blonde lying by the cold hard tile while her other hand was holding onto mine.
I removed her hold from mine and slowly climbed out of bed. I wasn't that healed yet but it was bearable to stand by now. I go to my drawer and grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around her. I lifted her head carefully and placed the pillow on her head.
I headed to the bathroom and took a shower since I probably stink by now and I was conscious since I had a visitor. Why was she here anyway?
And how did she knew my address?
I head back to my room, wiping my hair vigorously with a towel as I watch her stirr from her sleep and rub her eyes. "Yo," I called out to her and she looks up to me, groggily squinting her eyes. "Aren't you sick? Why are you up already?"
"I'm feeling better, thanks to your soup," I sat on the edge of my bed and I motioned her to sit beside me which she reluctantly did. "Oh really?"
"Do you want to take a shower?" I ask her and she looks down on the floor with a tint of pink on her cheeks. I always wondered why these past few days she's always turning red. Does she have a fever? Or is she that pale the cold makes her cheeks warm?
"I don't have any clothes, stupid," she says and I scratched the nape of my neck. "Do you want to borrow my mom's or mine?"
"I'll be fine with anything," she says and fiddles with her fingers.
I stood up and took one glance at her. "I'll be back."
If I think about it carefully, maybe she's acting like this because it's just the two of us. But I don't have any bad intentions of her, what would I even do with her anyway? I pull out from my mom's drawer a pink duster that should reach up to Star's knees.
"Should this be fine?" I say to her once I arrived and threw the duster at her as she grabs it. "Yeah."
"I gotta go," she says and heads to the bathroom. While she's taking a bath, I head down and turn on the television. There's nothing really interesting on it. As far as I know, television could slowly be dying. The programs are always re-runs and it doesn't really engage me.
I instead searched for movies on the movie rack and picked out a movie of different genres. As I was busy rumaggaging, someone knocks on the door. I look up and stand up to open the door when I meet them. "What the hell are you all doing here?"
Xiara grins. "Why are you so hostile around us? Or did you want more time alone with, Star?"
Oscar nudges me by the shoulder. "So what base were you on?"
I snicker. "None. Why are you all here? I'm gonna sick again because of you fools."
Tom holds out my shoulder. "We wanna see if our bro is alright," Xiara chimes in. "--and because I think Star had enough time to have you by herself."
"Get out. Go home," I push them as I try to close the door but their hands stop me from closing it. "We asked your mom and she said it's totally fine! The more the merrier right?" Ferguson says and everyone howls.
"Whatever. Just get in," I gave up and they all came bursting inside. A girl gives me a sheepish smile. "Sorry for barging. I'm Janna, Star's bestfriend. I tried stopping them but they were stubborn."
