dan pov | chapter four

I couldn't believe Phil would go through my phone like that. He must have went to go tell his stupid friends. It was a little better now that Charlie wasn't here, but who knows what could happen. I stood up and started walking to my next class. My next class was creative writing. I loved writing, especially since I love reading books and seeing the different types of writing they'd use.

When I write something I always just ended up in my own little fantasy world. But then I realize that I'm still just in reality and that life sucks.

I walked into the bright room and sat at my desk. I saw Phil sitting two seats across from me so I laid my head on the desk, hoping he wouldn't see me. Then I felt something light hit my back. I turned around and picked up the balled up piece of paper on the ground. I wanted to see if anything was written but that would seem kinda dumb because it was probably something rude or something. I turned around and decided to open up the paper to see if it said anything.

Kik :: lion267 was what it said.

Who's Kik is this? And who knew I had Kik? And who is the person? There were a lot of questions on my mind but I put the paper in a book and just laid my head back on the desk. I was so curious about who the person was but I'd figure it out soon, maybe, I dunno.

It was now 12:00 and the lunch bell rang. I went to the courtyard and took my food out from my lunch box, which was a sandwich, a small angel cake, candy, and strawberry milk. Oh did I mention I have a severe sweet tooth? I literally eat cake and candy everyday and to be honest I don't really drink water or soda. I usually drink juices and milk.

"What are you a little grade schooler?" A light but deep voice said behind me. I jumped which almost caused me to drop all my food and I turned around to see Phil standing behind me.

"Um creeper much? How long have you been standing there?" "I actually just got here. I came to bother you, but seriously strawberry milk is for elementary school." "I guess I'm a kid at heart then." I smiled a little to myself and took a bite of my sandwich. Phil walked around the bench and sat beside me. He off his backpack and put it on the ground pulling out a soda and chips. I continued to eat and then a weird thought came to mind.

Could Phil be the one to give me that Kik name? I mean he looked through my phone yesterday.. And he also would seem like the type of person to throw a balled piece of paper at me and-

"So angel I'm gonna come here often. So don't think that were friends or anything I just have no where else to sit."

I almost choked on the milk when he called me 'angel' and my cheeks were heating up. "I never said we were friends and plus don't you hang out with your punk friends?" I asked while finishing my sandwich and moving on to the cake. "I do. But, just stop asking questions." He glared and opened the bag of chips he had. "Mkay." I took a bite of the cake, it was really sweet.

My mom always bakes really good cakes and she had a sweet tooth just like me. My mom was really the only one who fully understood me and I mostly talked to her about my problems at school. She just doesn't know about Phil yet.

Phil was already done eating and I still wasn't finished. "You eat like a baby bird." He grinned before getting up and grabbing his backpack. "I don't. At least I don't eat like the cookie monster." My cheeks were probably pink. "Wow." He laughed a bit and actually smiled for once. But this smile was different somehow. He usually grins or just laughs, but this was an actual smile that looked so beautiful. It was like he was sunshine instead of the dark moon at that moment.

He walked away leaving me having a smile on my face. So maybe he does have a lighter side that hasn't been set free yet. And I wanted to see more of this side.
