Chapter 4

Shiori's P.O.V

"I guess this is it," Azuki sighed.

"Good luck, and don't get hurt."

I hugged her, "I'll be back, you know?"

"I know, but.."

"And I promise I'll be fine."

I hope.

She smiled. "I know. You can do this."

"Y-Yeah.."

Kitamura put his hand on my shoulder "Okay, Shiori. Remember what we taught you to use your powers, don't get too out of control With them, And if you see him doing anything bad, stop him. I'm sure you know how.. don't let your identity get Revealed either"

"But if I'm going to use my powers then how do I not show my face?" I asked.

He face palmed,"Your powers! You can look like anyone with your illusionary magic! Did you forget?"

I nervously laughed, "Of-Of course not.."

Azuki smirked, "You've always been a bad liar," she whispered so Kitamura doesn't hear. I pouted

Well, can't deny that.. 

"Very well then, you should be going... It was found that Usui will show up at the Annual, Hanuko Ball. Don't forget where that is, and take the map incase," he informed.

"Yes sir,"

He chuckled, "Alright, then."

I guess this is it.

"Azuki..." I hugged her

Why can't I just go with her?

"Get back with a smile on your face!" she smiled.

"You should be going, don't wana be late to the ball!" her lips quivered.

I nodded.

And there i went, out the door. I turned around and waved, "I'll be sure to call."

I can do this.

At The Ball -

My dress was a white, plain, lacey dress along with white 2-inch heels and a red bow in my orange long shiny hair.

Azuki gave me all of it.. I really need her right now.  I'm a lost child in this big mansion, and she was always there, like a.. mother. But now it doesn't even matter if i'm lost... I need to find Usui, and get information on him.

This is harder than i thought... How long has it been?, an hour? I don't see a guy with blonde hair and green eyes. What if he didn't even come?!

Right when i turned around to look around some more, my eyes met a tall man who looked about my age, with blonde hair, and dark green eyes.

"S-sorry" I turned to walk away when i realized this is the only man in the ball that had blonde hair and dark green eyes. It's him, Usui Takumi. The leader of a vampire pack.

"It's fine! What are you doing? You seem lost." He replied smiling.

Is this really him? Or am i mistaken... There could be many other guys with Blonde hair and green eyes! He's not the only one. No, i've been looking for a long time. He's the only guy.

"Are you Usui Takumi?" I blurted out.

His eyes slightly widened, and his look got serious "Why?" He asked suspiciously.

Good going, Shiori.

"Wild guess," I said with a straight face. Oh, I can't lie at all...

"Right. Who exactly are you?" He asked.

Oh gosh..He's suspcious.. I need help! He might kill me...Wait... don't i have powers? But, i can't get caught. I should go to the bathroom and use illusionary magic to change my look.

"U-Umm.. I really, really need to go take a wazz. Excuse me." I said, forcing a smile and walking off.

I blushed in embarassment of my choice of words.

"Maybe I should lead you to the bathroom, this is your first time in this place, isn't it?" He grabbed my arm and smiled.

"No!"

He took a step back and lots of other people looked our way. "S-Sorry..Not my first time, i'll be going now, see ya!"

In the Bathroom -

I could feel his presence while my back was against the door of the bathroom.

What's his problem? Did he use his "Vampire magic" to find out this is my first time at a ball? Probably not. And, he knows im in here, so i can't change into another person.. Does he sense my powers? Probably not.

I'm actually not that scared of him. He seems harmless, even though i know he isn't...

Though, i can't stay in here forever.

I opened the door with a creek.

I looked around to see no one standing at the door.

I could swear i felt his presence behind me... and it's not just how you feel like someone is watching you when your sleeping, i actually heard him breathing and the tension in the air. It's probably my magic, but he couldn't have gone far, i have to find him.

On The Roof -

I quickly dialed Azuki's number "771-442-3324" (This is NOT a real number)

Pick up already..

"Who you callin'?" a familiar voice came from behind me

I turned around to see Usui, "N-Nobody."

"Nobody?" He laughed

"I actually saw you dial a number, so you can't just lie when i was following you the whole time" he smirked.

Wait... what? H-how... I didn't see him at all... Wait, maybe he used something with his 'vampire powers' Wait..I don't think vampires could stalk people with powers. Why did I sign up for this? Oh wait, I didn't. 

"Why are you following me, creep."

I'm being such a hypocrite.

"I don't know, how do you know me?"

I stayed silent for a few seconds.

"I don't.."

"That's probably why you know my name, huh?"

He shot me a look and walked away, like nothing happened 

What was that about?
