A/N This is the last chapter of Detective Shiori, I hope you all enjoyed reading! I'm planning to make another story. Still thinking of the plot, so if you haven't followed and enjoyed this story, you should do it now. Also an important note, Shiori doesn't know about Usui's past, so she doesn't know his parents have passed away.

Chapter 17: {Finale} Part 1

Shiori's P.O.V

I stared at the big mansion in front of me. Before I entered the mansion, I made sure to not let the guard see me. Turns out, it's Usui's birthday today! He's having a huge birthday party inside, Katsumi gave me the info.

I smiled at myself. I'm sure he didn't want me to die... This can be a gift for him ^^

I tiptoed to the entrance and took a quick glance at the guard. Idiot, this isn't the time to be sleeping! Anyone can come in! I elbowed him and ran inside.

"Mmmmmuh...Huh? What?" He looked around.

"Meh" He shrugged and closed his eyes.

What the hell? Usui needs to hire better guards o.o Good thing he didn't though...

>~<

The Takumi family must be really popular because the whole mansion was filled with people. I can't even reach the hallway, or look for Usui. I swear, there's like 15 million people here. -.- How am I gonna find Usui?!

"Ah! Young lady?" An old man approached me.

"Y-yes?"

"Have you seen.. Ah.. Usui Takumi?" He asked.

"No, I haven't, sir." I responded.

"Ah, that's fine. Thank you."

"No problem?" I muttered and started heading towards the hallway to look for Usui.

"Young lady!" He called out.

I turned around and walked towards him.

"Yes?"

"May you.." He handed me a glass full of orange juice.

"Put this in the kitchen?"

"The.. Kitchen?"

"You're familiar of where that is aren't you?"

"How am I supposed to be?"

"Aren't you a maid?" He pointed at my clothes and raised one of his eyebrows.

I looked down at my clothes.

They look nothing like a maids!

I looked at him in disgust "Humh!" And left.

"S-Sorry!" He called out.

I ignored him and tried my best to reach the hallway, which was right next to the entrance, except 50,000 people are blocking it!

I reached the hallway and not many people were there. About 3 or 4 people I saw going inside of rooms.

I looked inside of a room and saw a lady, probably in her late twenties, almost done knitting a cozy scarf.

"Umm.."

She looked at me and smiled. "Hello, what is it that you need?" She asked politely.

"Nothing... I'm just looking for Usui... Do you have an idea of where he is?" I asked.

"Hmm.. No. Haven't seen him since I got here." She answered.

"Oh, thanks anyway!" I said and left.

This is harder than I thought >~< D:

I walked and walked, door to door, went all the way to the end which I didn't think existed, and no Usui was to be found.

There were no more doors left and I felt like giving up. Will I ever find him? This mansion is too huge... I feel like I won't find him at the end, and forever he'll think I'm dead.

But I can't give up... I have an urge to see him, I want to see him... I really want to see him... Whenever I think about him, I want to see him! Why? Why do I want to see him so bad? My heart starts beating so fast when I'm with him... Is it his vampire powers or something?! I face palmed. Vampires don't have powers! And, even if they did, they wouldn't work on me, since I'm a half-vampire too... That kinda scares me. o.o

I turned around and it was like I was in a horror movie, the hallways were dark, which I hadn't noticed since I was too focused on finding Usui. That day, that incident has made me fear the dark. I wanted go home and cuddle in my bed... I wanted to open my eyes and have this all be a dream... Reality check, Shiori! You don't always get what you want. -.-

*Read Bottom A/N*

Don't worry! This is only part 1, she still needs to find Usui doesn't she? What will happen when she finds Usui? Will she stay a detective? What will Usui do? Read part 2 to find out! Stay tuned :3 nyahahahahaha X3 Also, i'm gonna make a new story soon, deciding on the plot, so many choices! I'm still kinda a newbie, but whatever! c: writing is fun!
