Chapter 4

Sophia's POV
This was it.
Everyone was acting crazy and cheering for the game. I guess Hunter was the first freshman quarterback to ever really be in the game. Everyone was cheering for him. The game went by so quickly. Hunter scored the winning touch down causing everyone to go crazy and jump out of the stands.

Loren and I went to the locker room were all the guys were cheering.

"Hey guys!" Hunter said all sweat and gross.

"Ew go shower." Loren said all grossed out.

"Okay I'll meet you guys soon just wait outside."

After Hunter was done showering he meet us outside. A bunch of the football guys were cheering  and patting him on the back.

"Good job bro, see you at the party!" A guys said and Hunter nodded.

"Cmon guys lets go to the party!" Hunter cheered. We followed him and he brought us to one of his football friends car. They were our ride.

As we walked in there were highschoolers dancing and drinking. All the football guys were going crazy.
"Woah." Loren and I said at the same time. Hunter was the same as we were.
"I'm going to go get a drink!" Loren cheered as she went over to the other side of the party. Did she forget we were only in 8th grade? Hunter and I sat down and started to hang out with some football guys.

"What grade are you in?" One of the football guys asked. I think he was a sophomore.
"Oh I'm a -" I was interrupted by Hunter.
"She's a freshman but she goes to another highschool, so is the blonde girl." Hunter said trying to act chill.

The football guys started playing beer pong and Hunter and I played on the team that didn't have to drink. I had gotten the ball in for the 5th time and everyone was cheering.

"Oooooooooo!" Everyone playing screamed. I laughed as the other person drank. We finished the game up.
"Hunter omg! We forgot about Loren!" I yelled. I checked the time and she had been gone for an hour and a half. Hunter and I checked the whole house.

"We're not going to find her." I sobbed. It was my first week of school and I had already had a crush, a new friend, and gone to party. Well I could say had a new friend. Hunter rubbed circles into my back.
"It's not like she's going to be lost forever." Hunter joked. I laughed awkwardly.

"Wait! I see her!" Hunter yelled and pointed into her direction. A guy had his arm around her. Hunter and I ran up to her.

"Is this your friend?" The guy asked. Hunter and I nodded.
"Well she's going to be my friend for the night." The guy said and laughed. Loren giggled and you could tell she was drunk. Hunter looked like he was about to throw a punch but I grabbed his arm before he could move.

"Uh, bro that's my girlfriend." Hunter said. For a second I gave him a weird look until he mouthed 'just go along with it'. Hunter gave Loren an awkward kiss on the cheek. Then Hunter and I grabbed Loren. We went to go find a ride real quick.
*later on*

We all went to hunters house and made Loren drink a whole jug of water. Hunter set up some bed on the floor.
"Guys I'm so sorry." Loren said.
"It's okay." Hunter and I said at the same time.
"Let's just go to bed now." Loren said. As soon as Loren said that Hunter was passed out. Loren and I laughed and the she fell alseep. I tried to close my eyes but those two losers were snoring.

I decided I would just go to downstairs to the living room, trying not to be creepy. Then I heard footsteps. Shoot. I got caught. I was hoping it was just Hunter, but it was Brandon.

"What are you doing here?" He asked looking tired. I guess he didn't sleep with a shirt on.

"Oh, Hunter asked me to sleepover, I was trying to find the bathroom." I lied nervously.

"Hunters room has a bathroom." Brandon answered.

"Oh, cool." I said, ugh am I nervous and I don't know why.
"Well now I can't go back to sleep, so do you want to go to the patio and chill." I nodded my head and we both walked out.
"Wow nights in Arizona are colder than I thought." I said.
From there for what had felt like hours we talked about were I used to live, our school and friends.

"Damn your really funny." Brandon said.
"Really?" I asked, my heart started to beat 10x faster.
"Yeah, and your pretty." He said. Stupidly I said 'you too' and then laughed. My eyes just closed and I guess his did too and we kissed. It wasn't my first kiss but let's just say it was the best.
