With a big smile I walked down the staircase leading into the small hallway of the cellars. I could hear the rogues growling all around the small ad compact place.
"Hi, Jamie. Been a while since we saw you down here!" I turned around and looked at Turner, the head of all guards, who made sure everyone that down here followed the rules and stayed looked down. He was the torturer. He was feared by a lot of people in the pack. He could smile with you and have fun, be like every normal pack member, but on the other hand, he could kill you in a matter of seconds with a giant smile on his face and a glint of fun in his eyes. It what made him perfect for this job. He could easily be just as horrible as me.
"Hi, Turner. How's the mate doing?" He gave me a smile before letting out a big exhale. Turner is also Casey's mate. The nurse who took care of Mike when he was still in the hospital. The poor guy had a twisted elbow and a couple broken fingers, but he kept going while we were under attack. Something I admire very much.
"Casey's fine. He would have liked to go back to work already, but I forced him to say at home. It caused a little bit of a fight." I smiled at the amusement that was shining in his eyes. While Turner was a very cold guy to everyone around the pack, except us, he was completely different with his mate. When we walked down the cellars to find him and tell him about his mate being harmed in the attack on the hospital, he went crazy. But the moment he saw Casey he went silent and sweet. It was probably the cutest sight I have ever seen.
"He did an awesome job at the hospital, Turner, You can be very proud at your little mate." Turner smiled at me.
"Thank you, I'm sure he would be happy to hear that. He felt a little guilty he couldn't really help in the fight." He lifted his shoulders. "I told him about a zillion times, he helped by patching a lot of warriors up after the fight. But it's like he doesn't even hear it."
I lifted my shoulders at him. "He shouldn't feel guilty at all. He did an amazing job for all those warriors who would have probably been a lot worse if he hadn't helped them. He will notice it once he gets back to work." I smiled. "I'll make sure I'll tell him exactly that when I see him." He nodded his head.
"You do that. But I'm sure you aren't down hear to have a conversation with me?"
I laughed and shook my head. "No, you are right. All though I don't mind talking to you that wasn't really the reason for my visit. I'm here to talk to the hunters we brought in a little while ago." Turner nodded his head.
"I already thought it wouldn't take long for one of you guys to get down here." He nodded his head indication me to follow him down the hallway straight into his office. Turner's office wasn't anything special. Everything inside it was made out of clean metal. It had a cold look to it. There was only one picture standing next to the laptop resting on the metallic desk. A picture of a smiling Casey. Everything else was cold and sterile. It was exactly what you would expect of someone with his position.
"Here are the keys to the cellars they are in. I put them in the torture rooms in the lower floor, tied down in their chairs to the metal bar on the tables." He pointed at the giant floor plan hanging behind his desk.
The cellars where made out of 3 floors. The first floor was probably the prettiest. You reached the cellars by a hole in the ground that was cover by a wooden hatch. You walked down the stairs and entered a small hallway. If you walked down the hall way you passed a couple cells that were used for the rogues who weren't really aggressive. Those were the ones the pack were considering on letting stay or setting free.
The second floor was different. Here were the ones we would question. The cellars there where used for the aggressive rogues, the traitors and others Turner deemed worse enough.
