The bell rang and our homeroom teacher, Mr.Duke, an older man with a raspy voice began to read over the handbook. No need to say that we didn't pay attention, the group of us mindlessly chatting the whole time, getting irritated glares from the preppy kids and the nerds, ignoring them completely.
The bell rings and I grab my bag, give Luke a quick peck on the lips and wave to the rest of my 'clique' on the way out. As I walk Into my economics class and make a bee line for the back corner of the room. I watch the door for familiar faces and alas, there's a tall mop of curly, dirty blond hair with glasses. I immediately recognize it as Ashton; one of Luke's best mates. He catches my eye and makes a goofy face, which makes me laugh.
"Hey kitty!" He sounds like a little kid as he sits down in the desk beside me.
"Hi Ashton" I laugh
"That's strange, I was expecting a 'meow"'
"Ha. Ha. Ha. You're so funny ash, sooooo funny..." I say in the most sarcastic tone I could manage to muster, along with a dramatic eye roll. In the corner of my eye, I see a brunette Dani and a galaxy haired Michael. Michael being yet another one of Luke's mates. I mean, damn, How many mates do you need? I have Kasey, and Dani. That's all I need. Plus, Luke has me, what more could he possibly want?...actually, I'm probably the worst girlfriend ever...
"miss foster" Mr. Frank {frankly} interrupts my daydreaming "what was the last thing I went over in the handbook?"
"oh, um...it was the..." feeling embarrassed, I stutter and look down at my lap, covering my face with my long hair.
"I'm waiting." Mr. Frank rudely remarks. To my right I hear Ashton clear his throat, and I look in his direction only to see him pointing to the bold letters of his handbook reading: Absence and tarty policies grateful, I look up at my obnoxious teacher; telling him the section title.
Looking over to Ashton, I mouth a "thank you" having him to mouth back a "no problem, princess" with a wink. Causing me to laugh and roll my eyes dramatically.
A few minutes later, after Mr.frank's lecture on how "important" it is to not daydream in class, a folded up piece of paper lands on my desk with 'cat' written on the front flap in scratchy handwriting. Opening it, it reads:
"do we have anymore classes together?" Quickly, I write down my schedule and toss the note onto Ashton's desk. Before he could return the note, the bell rings and students begin to flood the halls. 'Guess, we'll find out then' I remark to myself, quietly as I begin the short walk to my next class.
A/N omg guys I'm back! And I'm not dead! Wow, shocker, right? Yeah. I would come up with excuses as to why I kinda went MIA for a little while, but I'm not gonna cause I don't have any at the moment. Whoops... But anyways, I was just being lazy, and I couldn't think of any good material. (probably why this chapter is so sucky...) :// oh! And I got a new phone, so if there are any errors (grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc.) let me know! As always, love you guys and thanks for reading :))
Xo, Cat.
