Emily returned to her desk and asked Juliet what she was reading.
"And Then There Were None, it's by Agatha Christie," Juliet told her.
"Oh, is it good?"
"Yeah it's a murder mystery." Prentiss was surprised she read those types of books at such a young age. Garcia strutted into the center of the BAU and said, "I found something you guys need to see. Meet me in the round table room in 5."
Juliet looked up from her book at Emily.
"Cmon, let's go see what Penelope found," Prentiss said as she started walking toward the room. Juliet was right behind her. Hotch, Dave and Morgan were already in there when Prentiss walked in. JJ and Reid arrived after Juliet. Everyone took their seats."Okay my dolls, here's what I have."
A picture of the Williams showed up on the screen. Penelope started,
"This is William and Janet Smith. The Smiths are both 46 years old. They are a married couple that were suspects in a number of bank robberies and one kidnapping. However, they were let go because there wasn't enough evidence to convict them. They had a daughter in 1985, and a son in 1995. Sadly, 10 years ago, their daughter, Sarah, died in a car crash."
"When exactly was it?" JJ asked. "October 13th, 2001," Garcia replied. "The killings started exactly a year later," Prentiss explained.
"Okay, so that's the stressor. But why stop four years ago?" Rossi questioned. "That's what we need to find out," JJ said.
"What else do we have on them?" Prentiss asked.
"Their last known address is 67 Sawmill Road, and since 2005 it's as if they were totally wiped off the earth. Their old house was torn down and rebuilt for a new family. All of their bank accounts were wiped clean too." "Wait, they had a son 16 years ago. That could be Dylan," Hotch stated. "Do you have anything else on the parents like where they worked?" Prentiss wanted to know.
"William owned a garage and there's nothing on Janet," Garcia said. Finally, Juliet said something.
"Wait, how were they able to exist under different names?" Juliet asked. Penelope pulled up something new on the screen.
"That's what I was thinking, then I found this. This is Blake Williams and Regina Williams. AKA the Smiths. There was no record of them until 2006. They have a 16 year old son named Dylan and all of their records show them as law abiding citizens. They would take children out of foster care often and keep then for about a year. Regina was an accountant and Blake owned a garage. They lived in the house where we found the boys."
"So, something happened in 2005 that made them change their identities and move," Morgan summarized.
"But what?" That question was left unanswered. Hotch noticed Juliet was getting uncomfortable looking at the pictures, so he said.
"Dave, you should come with me to check out the Smiths' old house and garage, and see if anyone remembers them. Reid and Morgan go to Blake's garage and see if you find anything. Emily, I heard you were having a girls night tonight. Why don't you go home with Juliet and get ready for that. Garcia once you send us the addresses you can go home. JJ I left you some paper work on your desk."
Morgan, Rossi, and Dave left to get ready to leave, and Garcia went back to her layer. JJ left to start her work, leaving Juliet, Hotch and Emily alone.
"You didn't have to do that. I could've left Juliet with Garcia," Prentiss said.
"I know," Hotch replied then left. Prentiss looked down at Juliet, then took her hand and walked out. They stopped at her desk to get her things, then went out to the car. When they got home, Juliet went into the bathroom to take a shower, and Prentiss went into the living room to clean up a little more. When Juliet was done, she went into her room. After she got changed, she noticed a note addressed to her on her desk. Juliet picked up the note with caution and gasped when she read:
Agent Prentiss can't protect you forever. Just wait, we will meet again...
