Ali Patterson

I woke up in the middle of the night feeling sharp pains in my stomach. "Hmph," I groaned feeling the worst pain imaginable.

"Ow! Ren! Baby?!," I called out crying.

"Wassup?," he plainly asked coming from the living room watching the boxing game that he had pre-ordered.

Body fluids leaked out of me staining my biker shorts and the bed.

"Ugh, Shanya, you peed," he said with a disgusted face.

"Stop with bullshit! I'm giving birth to your baby," I screamed at him.

"Nah, I think you need to control your bladder," He joked laughing.

I sighed. "Lorenzo, come.... here," I told him waving him over to me.

He walked over to me, kneeling down to where I was on the edge of the bed. With no warning, my palm came clean across his face making him jump.

"Ah shit, what the fuck did you do that for?!," he asked rubbing his cheek. His cheek was a piercing red color on his chocolate colored skin.

"If you don't shut up and take me to the hospital," I screamed with tears falling out of my eyes.

He put on his LA Kings hat and swiftly carried me to his car. He put me in the passenger seat.

"Shit, baby, I left the car keys. Stay here, aight?," he assured as if I could really move.

He came back with the keys and started up the car. He turned on the radio, where we heard 'Hip Hop Hooray' by Naughty By Nature.

"Oh shit! This is my shit," He yelled rapping to the lyrics.

I used my fist to break to smash the radio. My knuckles were busted open, pouring out with blood. "Shut that shit up, please!," I cried not wanting to hear anything of that nature.

"Yo, what the fuck! Shay, you're gonna pay for this shit!," he yelled at me.

"Ow! Please get me to a hospital, I'm having your baby!," I screamed with my nails sinking into his leather seats.

About twenty minutes later, He brought me to Kindred Hospital.

Lorenzo put me in a wheel chair, pushing me to the emergency room. The doctors immediately rushed me to the delivery room.

The assistant nurse stuck and IV in my arm and plugged up all types of machines. I could tell by the way Lorenzo was biting his lip, he was nervous.

"Hello, I'm Dr. Carter Thomas and I'm going to be deliver your baby. I'm suspecting you are the father?"

"Yes sir, I am," Lorenzo answered holding my hand. I squeezed it hard due to the pain I was going through.

They measured how far apart my contractions and how much my cervix dialated.

"Shit, please get this baby out of me!," I cried becoming agitated.

"Be patient. When I tell you to push, you need to push really hard."

"Push!," the doctor told me.

I pushed as hard as I can until exhaustion weighed me down.

"Come on," Lorenzo encouraged. Beads of sweat poured down my face as if it was 200°F.

"Ahh! Ohh!," I screamed pushing the hardest I can. I felt the head come out of me, giving me excruciating pain.

After 4 consecutive hours of natural birth, a beautiful baby boy was born. He had deep brown eyes that matched his father's. Lorenzo grabbed the surgical scissors and cut his cord.

I gave out in exhaustion, and nearly fainted right after birth. "Mr. Patterson, will you sign the certificate?," the doctor asked.

The docter filled out the infomation and asked this, "What do you want to name him?"

"Ali Lorenzo Patterson," I faintly said.

Ren smiled at me, signing the birth certificate.

I played with Ali's curly hair, observing every feature.

"Aye! Where's Mini MC Ren at!," Eric asked exclaiming his words carrying a teddy bear with a Compton hat on.

"Sir, visiting hours are over," the doctor explained. Eric simply showed the man his .38 caliber, which made him spooked.

Eric carried him planting kisses on Ali. Ali was asleep along with Lorenzo. Eric and I were the only ones up. You would think I would be so tired but I couldn't help but stare at my newborn son.

He was just a new addition to Lorenzo and I's kingdom.
