(Jack's POV)
I sat at the window of our ship, watching the stars and celestial bodies fly by. My partner and I took turns piloting our proud little ship -the IVS Lacoda. We were exploring the cosmos, charting stars and discovering planets.
My partner is a Zoradian named Wiishula Senaeda, but I call her "Wiishu" for short. Zorada V is a planet very similar to Earth, as are the beings who inhabit it, but more advanced. The Zoradians are stronger, faster, smarter, and live decades longer than normal humans, though their laws and customs are quite primitive. Zoradians are typically hostile to anyone not of their race, but Wiishu has been a true friend to me. Though, I will admit I have feelings for her, but one of their laws state that it's forbidden for Zoardians to imprint on or mate with any race other than their own.
Me, I'm one of the last of the Immune- humans that were unaffected by the nuclear radiation that plagues Earth. A long time ago, pollution and war rendered our planet uninhabitable, and only the rich were able to evacuate, leaving the majority of the population to die in the nuclear wasteland. Most who did survive became mutated, mindless monstrosities. A very few adapted to be completely immune, like my parents. But, they were killed by raiders when I was only seven, and they took me in as a recruit. Well, it was more like slave than recruit. They got their hands on a ship (Since Earth's destruction rogue aliens and caravans sometimes stopped on Earth, but only if they desperately needed a place to stay or to repair their ship) and I traveled the galaxy with them until I was about 12. Then, they ran into the Zoradian Elite Guard. The Guard rescued me and took me back to their planet, where I lived on for a while. At first, I was respected because I was considered a "rare species", but after a while they lost intrest (and hope) and no one cared about me, so I ended up homeless. Then I met Wiishu. We became close friends with a passion to explore the universe. We did just that as soon as we could afford the parts to our ship.
"Hey Jack, I'm taking a break. It's your turn to pilot," Wiishu says through the commlink. I get up and walk across the deck to the pilot's cabin and we trade places."Don't worry, we should be there soon."
"And hopefully the Guard doesn't stop us this time," I reply.
As I mentioned before, we are explorers, and our ultimate goal is the planet of legend, Mizar Prime. It said to be home to an ancient race of beings who, when the universe was just born, shaped the very fabric of space and time. It's also said to have to universes's most powerful relics and weapons, and of course, treasure beyond anyone's wildest dreams. Our findings and discoveries have always been sabotaged by paid spies or mercenaries, or sometimes the Guard itself, making me think that Zorada V's Court is hiding something, or doesn't want us to find it.
As I'm lost in my thoughts, the proximity alarms go blaring. I snap out of my daydreaming and see that I had accidentally flown a little too close to a black hole. Taking immediate action, I pull hard on the steering wheel and reverse the direction of the thrustors. It only slowed the black hole's progress; I was unable to get the ship out of its field of gravity. Wiishu bursts into the cabin and takes the co-pilot's seat and tries to help get the ship to safety. Our fuel was burning fast and we were still getting closer to the event horizon- the point of no return.
"The pull is too strong! I-I don't think we'll make it!" Wiishu cries over the wailing alarms. This was it, and it's all my fault...
I suddenly notice something peculiar about the black hole. Maybe-
"I'm going to release the thrustors,"
"What?! Are you crazy?!"
"We have no choice! Just trust me," I say, looking her straight into her green eyes. Fear flickers across them, but she says, "Okay Jack."
With that, I release the thrustors and the ship is sent hurdling towards the black hole.
Please let me be right about this...- - - - - -
Yeah! The first one shot! I actually got really into this one. So what do you think? Part two? Future book?? Idk. I really like how I was able to include Wiishu (Jack's IRL girlfriend) in this. I don't really ship Septiishu, but you have to admit that they are one of the cutest couples ever. I just wish Septiplier shippers weren't so hateful to her. Number 1 (and these also apply to Mark and Amy), Septiplier is a FICTIONAL ship, and though it's okay to ship it, don't take it too seriosly (e.g. forcing it on Mark and Jack). Number 2, Jack is clearly happy with her and she's clearly good to him so you should just be happy that Jack is happy. He has done so much for us that he deserves it. Also he can date whoever the f**k he wants. Deal with it. (that sass tho). Sorry for my rant but it burns me up when people lash out at these girls who have done nothing wrong other than terminate the chances of a ship that really had no chance in the first place. Just being honest. Anyway, stay tuned!
