Never Meant to Fall for You

Chapter 6

(a couple months later)

Monday- 4 days till Valentine's Day

"Um...Sugawara?" Suga turned around from his lunch with Daichi.

"What's up Nita!" Suga gave his classmate a warm smile. She blushed and looked to the ground. She fidgeted a little then spoke up.

"Um...since it's almost Valentine's Day and all..." Her hands were shaking behind her back.

"Yeah! I'm so excited for it this Friday." Suga beamed. Nita became even more flustered.

"Yeah, so I wanted...to...give you these chocolates!" She took her hands out from behind her back to reveal a long and skinny box wrapped with a small pink bow on the top.

Suga smiled at his classmate. He was grateful for the chocolates. He was just hoping Nita was just being nice and doesn't have any big feelings towards Suga. However his thoughts were interrupted when Daichi spoke up.

"Why would you even give them to him four days early? Seems stupid. Don't ya think? Defeats the whole purpose of Valentine's Day. If you aren't going to give someone chocolates on the day you're supposed to then why do it in the first place? Are you actually that stupid?" Daichi growled from behind Suga. Suga whipped his head back to Daichi.

"Daichi! What the fuck? Nita's just being nice, which is something you're failing at right now. You should apologize to her!" Suga scolded Daichi like a mother to her young child. Daichi's expression didn't change from disgust, but there was less of it now. What was he actually thinking? Nita was their classmate.

"No! It's fine..." Nita chuckled. Suga turned to look back at his now embarrassed classmate, "He's kinda right, it kinda defeats the purpose to give you chocolates days early! It's fine! I'll just leave now..." She turned her heel and ran out the classroom so fast she didn't even realize that she took the chocolates with her. Suga felt really bad about the whole thing.

He tried to call after her, but she was outta there too fast. He sighed and went back to look back at Daichi, who still seemed as though he thought what he said was the right thing to say. "What was that about? She didn't even leave the chocolates. There really was no point in that." He scoffed and went back to his lunch.

Suga just stared at him. What the fuck was that? The Daichi he knew would never, not in a million years, say that to anybody, let alone a girl! It all makes no sense. Something has been going on with Daichi ever since the whole 'hot for Daichi's thighs' thing occurred. But Suga just can't figure out what it was.

December 23 at Practice

"Hey Suga! Daichi!!!" Nishinoya yelled across the gym from where he was standing with Tanaka, Kageyama, and Hinata. Suga was talking with Daichi and enjoying the quietness at the end of practice. Apparently it was too good to be true.

"Nishinoya please don't yell across the whole gym!" Suga said. "If you want to say something, please get here first and then tell me." Daichi chuckled.

"What do you guys want?" Daichi asked. Suga was 50% sure something ridiculous was about to come out of their mouths.
