Love Games

       I went to see Mrs. Grandwood imediately. She opened the door and a smile crossed her face.
Grandwood : "Hello Hanna! What brings you here ? "
Hanna : "I'm here for the necklace, Derek told me he gave it to you."
Grandwood : "Oh, yes. Come on in please." she said and waved for me to come in. "Make yourself comfortable dear." She came back holding my mother's amethyst silver necklace which she handed to me. "Here honey."
Hanna : "Thank you." I said and returned the smile.
Grandwood : "Is that all you came here for? " she said and sipped from her hot tea.
Hanna : "Actually, no ... I wanted to talk to you about last night." she put her cup of tea back on the table.
Grandwood : "I see. "
Hanna : "Do you have any idea about what happened there? And what is the meaning of the cougar ?"
Grandwood : [sighs] " Hanna, what happened last night is the worst that could happen, but also may be the best.
Hanna : "And how's that?"
Grandwood : " You ... died. But it was the supernatural part that died and so you came back as a human. " I sighed in relief.
Hanna : "I ... are you kidding me?" I said still unable to believe. "So you're telling me that I am normal again, for good this time ?" she nooded. Joy was spreading through my body at that thought. I soon started to imagine all the things I wanted to do, normal things like hikings or swimming or just simply running in the park, things I was unable to enjoy lately since the thought of not getting killed was present every minute. I was finally able to live a normal life. I got home and was surprised to see Alex waiting for me in the front, with a bunch of roses in his hand. "What the heck is this ? "
Alex : "I heard that you looked for me today, and I am sorry I wasn't able to meet you. My shift is over so ... " he said and stepped closer. " I wanted to apologize properly."
Hanna : "Oh, really?!" I said and faked a smile. " And how was your day ? I presume you worked hard. "
Alex : "Oh, you can't even imagine. "
Hanna : " Oh, I think I can, tell me."
Alex : "Um, just normal work, you know medical stuff, you wound't understand."
Hanna : "Try me."
Alex : "I ... mh.." [clears throat]
Hanna : " Better let me! You pretended to work in order for your boss not to fire you, then you smoked about .. 4 cigarettes." I said smelling his horrible breath. " You didn't even care to get a gum. Then you decided to make out with that blonde slut and probabily got laid before finishing the shift." he just stared at me astonished. "Am I wrong?" . He chuckled nevrously.
Alex : "I can have any girl I want, you'd be stupid if you would leave me." I laughed and his expression turned into a frown.
Hanna : " Sorry buddy, but if you haven't noticed boys make crowds in order to get to talk to me. And sorry to break it to you but last time I checked I was the hottie and you .. err, just ... the nottie." I said and pushed the roses back to him, heading inside. Sure, it hurt to see him today with that bitch but seeing now the real him made me ask myself 'What is that I liked about him?'. He soon left and Lana got home right after.
"Oh, you're home! Finally."
Lana : "Did I miss anything?"
Hanna : "Just the fact that we're going to be ... roomates!"
Lana : "Aaaaaah! Really?!" she said and jumped with joy.
Hanna : "Come on, I'll show you our new room!"
Both : "Roomates, roomates, roomates! Roomates, roomates, roomates! " we sang all the way upstairs, dancing around the stairway.
Lana : "Oh! It's amazing! I love it." she said and looked around the room.
Hanna : "I thought you might like it." I said and grinned.
Lana : "But what about your old room?"
Hanna : "Faye doesn't want to sleep at the second floor. She wouldn't sleep at first either but there are no other dorms, so I gave her my room. Irene and Jo will also share a room next to Faye's."
Lana : "So... we have a whole floor just for us ? " she said with a big grin.
Hanna : " Well it's more like a loft but I guess ... " we both laughed. "It's worth a celebration!" I said and put on some music.
Lana : "I had enough drinks today, but I wouldn't refuse a dance." As soon as the girls got home we got the party going. Soon it turned into a sleepover as everyone changed to PJ's. Jo made popcorn and we made fun of the tv shows for about twenty minutes then it wasn't much until Lana and Faye started a pillow fight. One that extended it's area to the whole house. There were pillow everywhere. the house looked like a hurricane just passed. And of course, what kind of party would it be without drinks? Faye and Irene actually made cocktails while Jo decided she was hungry and ordered chinesse. Food which only she and Irene would agree with but I wasn't hungry anyway.
Hanna : "Have you seen the expression on Collin's face today?" I said and sipped from my drink.
Jo : "Yeaha." she chuckled.
Irene : "I think he shit his pants" she said and we laughed.
Faye : "Have you seen Drake's face? He looked like he was about to pass out."
Jo : " And what about Diana? She has her hand broken." I looked away and started humming. "You know anything about it ?" she said trying to be sarcastic.
Hanna : "Who ? Me? Noo... no. Ok, yeah, fine, I did it." they chuckled. "She deserved it."
Irene : "That and way much more."
Lana : "Let's just not talk about this anymore. Jo, how was your day?" she said and bit her lip. Jo laughed embarassed.
Jo : "Andrew and I didn't see each other much today. I'll call him later."
Lana : "Mhmm, yeah ok." she said and looked at everyone then stopped at me.
Hanna : "I hate guys." I said before she would start.
Irene : " What the hell did he do ?"
Faye : " Was he an ass?"
Hanna : " I'd rather not talk about it. I thought he was different but I was wrong."
Lana : " Heck with him! There are plenty of other guys."
Jo : "Yeah, you don't have to be sad, celebrate your freedom."
Hanna : "Oh, I'm not sad. It's not like we were togheter or anything, we just had one date that's all."
Jo : "If you say so ... "
Hanna : "No, really. I may have liked the person I thought he was, but he was just pretending to be someone else. I'm done with him."
We went to sleep reeeally late and so we were kinda late the next morning at school. Boring hours as usual. We were having lunch when an announcement was made, saying we all need to get to the conference room for an emergency meeting. "We have gathered here today because as some of you may know your principal suffered a car accident this morning and will be unable to get back for a while ... blah blah blah ... I haven't listened to all the shit he was talking. I searched the room and met Diana's gaze then smiled ironic and waved to her. She just frowned and stared. " ... so, without any other introductions I invite your new principal to say a few words. Mrs. Grandwood." As I heard the words my jaw dropped. She was the new principal ?!?! WTF?! Well, it was also a good thing, we had the hunters as teachers but the principal was our Fairy Godmother - Suck it!
The hours left passed and I was heading, along with Jo, to my car when we got a text. "S.O.S Gym - Irene" I exchanged looks with Jo and we hurried back. As I stepped in I noticed 2 of the new hunters, I think her name was Sam and the other one reddish hair and glasses. They were blocking Irene's way and judging from her expression she was scared for some reason. I saw him putting something back in his pocket as he noticed us. He looked again at Irene, still undecided of what to do, and then he met my gaze. They soon walked away.
Jo : "What was that?"
Irene : He .. they threatened me .. us."
Hanna : "What exactly did they say?"
Irene : "That they heard about our little game with Collins and then he pulled out a dagger, or so it looked like."
Hanna : "We need to go to the principal then. Carrying a weapon is forbidden."
Irene : "No, they are probabily gone already."
Jo : "About the principal, what the hell?! Mrs. Grandwood ?!"
Hanna : "I know, right?! But let's face it it's pretty damn cool!"
Irene : "Ye-heaah! Think of all the hours we'll skip with her permission!"
Hanna : "Aaaaah!" I said fangirling. " Never thought about that!"
Jo : [chuckles] "Let's just go. I need to meet Andrew."
Hanna : "Let's go, I need to meet Andrew." I said mocking her. Irene laughed and Jo just shook her head and smiled
Jo : "You're just mad you don't have a boyfriend."
Hanna : "And I don't need one, I hate guys."
Irene : "You say it sis!" she said and raised her hand for a high-five.
Jo : "Oh, I'm sorry, who was that? You or gelosy talking ?"
Hanna : "Ooughh ... she gave it to you hard." I said to Irene.
Irene : "Yeah, yeah ... very funny." but just as she was finishing her phrase she found herself bumping into someone, making him drop his books all around the school hallway. " Oh, I'm ... I'm so sorry! Let me help you." it was the same guy from this morning, the one with grey eyes.
Taylor : "Do nothing. " he said and started to pick his books up.
Irene : "Here." she said and handed him the books she picked up.
Taylor : "Thanks."
Irene : "I'm sorry again."
Taylor : "It's ok. Irene, right?"
Irene : "Yeah ..." she blushed slightly and smiled.
Taylor : "I'm Taylor, I'm new, you probabily don't remember but we had a class today togheter."
Irene : "Oh, I do remember you." I cleared my throat.
Taylor : "Um, see you later then."
Irene : "Yeah, bye."
Jo : "Do I really need to tell you not to get involved with such guys? Cause we both saw was was going on there."
Irene : "I was just beeing nice."
Jo : "Mhmm. "
Hanna : "Just give her a break Jo."
Jo : "Oh, so you're on her side?"
Hanna : "I'm on nobody's side I am just holding myself from beating the crap out of both of you right now so just zip it."
I dropped Jo to her meeting spot and I went home with Irene. We found Faye sitting on the couch and texting to god knows who.
Hanna : "Hey. Lana home ?"
Faye : "No. And it's a good thing you mentioned her."
Hanna : "That meaning ?"
Faye : "I need to talk to you about something."
Irene : "Ok. We're listening." she said and sat down next to her.
Faye : "All right. I was putting my books in the locker in order to go home and then I saw her. She was trying to call someone but the person wouldn't answer. Then it happened. He came out of nowhere and hugged her from behind. I couldn't see exactly who he was until he turned his face in my direction."
Irene : "So ? Who was he ?"
Faye : "Max. It was Max." my eyes widened.
Hanna : "What?!"
Faye : "Yes, I'm sure it was him. They held hands for a few moments and then she kissed him on the cheek."
Irene : "Did she see you?"
Faye : "No, I left before she could see me."
Hanna : "But ... why ? Why would she keep that from us?"
Faye : "I guess it's from the fact that he is our number one enemy, and she's probabily scared of our reaction."
Hanna : [sighs] "We'll ask her when she'll get home." I said and headed to my room.
Faye : "How was your day ?"
Irene : "Ah.. the usual. Teachers trying to bore me to death, I almost got killed in the gym, I bumped into a guy right after, you know."
Faye : "Guy? What guy? Is he cute?"
Irene : "Well, I guess." Faye grinned and they both giggled. "His name is Taylor. He is one of the new students." Faye's expression soon turned into a 'Are-you-fucking-kidding-me' kind of expression. " I know, I know, he is one of them, he's going to try to kill you and so on."
Faye : "Umm, yeah!"
Irene : "Look, I was just nice, I don't like him or anything." Faye raised an eyebrow.
Faye : "They are dangerous Irene. They can make your life a nightmare and you know that." she said on a more serious tone.
Irene : "I know." she said and looked away.
