Mark was crying. He knew that Jack wouldn't trust him ever again. He felt the heartbreak and nothing else. He didn't want to live anymore, not without Jack. Mark sat down on the street. It was dark outside. He sat down crying in his hands feeling horrible. If he didn't get hit on his own mission. If he didn't had an eye-witness. If Tobias wasn't just a lazy asshole, this wouldn't have happened. It would be fine. Mark knew it was his fault. He got hit in the first place. He sat there crying when he heard a car starting. He looked up to see Tobias starting his car and driving after Jack. Mark stood up immediately. Jack might not trust him, and his heart was broken, but he would never, never, let anyone hurt Jack without a fight.

Mark ran to his car. He had a few spare weapons there. He grabbed a gun and put it in his belt. He started the car and raced to Jacks place. He saw Tobias' car already parked in front of the house. He stopped at the house and got outside. He didn't even mind locking the car. He ran to the back door and tried to open it. Locked. Mark thought fast and broke the glass in the door, opening the door from the inside. He ran in and heard footsteps on the stairs, followed by a gunshot. Mark ran upstairs, hoping for the best, preparing for the worst. He saw Tobias, he missed. Jack was behind a closet in his room and didn't dare to come out of his hiding spot. "What do you want ?!" Jack sounded panicked and desperate. "I just need you to get out of your little hiding spot ." Tobias sounded amused. Mark couldn't stand this. He sneaked up on Tobias, he was right behind him now. Mark looked at Tobias. He was smiling. He liked it. Mark felt so much rage racing trough his body that he could kill Tobias without hesitation. He couldn't, that would get the whole SDOS on him. He grabbed his gun and hit Tobias hard on the side of his head. Tobias was unconscious. "Jack." Marks voice broke and it cracked because he had cried and it started again. "Jack, listen. When he wakes up, he'll come after you again. Please trust me. I'll protect you. " mark was half crying and struggling to keep talking. Tears where running down his face and he didn't even care. "I love you Jack, I always did. I can't just let you get killed." Jack looked at Mark, but didn't say anything. Mark still saw the fear in Jacks eyes. Mark felt the little hope for Jack to come with him leaving and the emptiness came back. "Jack please, I just wanna protect you." Mark said, but his voice was soft and broken. He was crying again and didn't even try to stop. He looked at Jack with tears in his eyes. "Please..... please come with me?" He said softly in between the sobs. "Drop your gun." Mark looked up by hearing Jacks voice. He looked in the blue eyes, which where still filled with fear. "Drop the gun, Mark." Jack sounded scared and clearly hoped this was all not real. Mark dropped his gun and the knife he had always with him. He looked at Jack who was a little less scared now. "If I come with you, where are we gonna go?" Mark, who was back to looking at his shoes, looked up. Hope was blooming in his whole body. Jack considered it. He might come with me ! "Somewhere far away. I don't know where, but we'll figure that out." Jack was also crying without sound. He still looked extremely frightened and was shaking. "Jack, I know you don't trust me and that you probably don't wanna be around me anymore, but please come with me." Mark reached out his hand to Jack. Jack looked at Marks hand and looked back into his eyes. "How do I know I can trust you?" Jack said, surprisingly calm. "I need to know if I can trust you." Mark looked in Jacks eyes, tears still running down his face. "I don't know." Mark said. He honestly didn't know why Jack would trust him. That hurt. Mark looked down at his feet. It really annoyed him that he couldn't think of a single reason Jack should trust him. He was fighting back the sobs. Silent crying was already too much. "Okey." Jack said after what seemed like an age. "I'll go with you." Mark looked up again. He felt so extremely happy. He walked over to Jack to hug him, but stopped walking to Jack when he remembered that Jack probably still didn't trust him. Jack smiled a little and started walking closer to Mark. "It's okay. I need a hug." Jack said softly and he hugged Mark. Mark of course hugged back and felt so extremely happy. Then they heard Tobias make a low sound, he let go of Jack. "We really need to go Jack. My car is outside. Let's go." Jack nodded and he quickly grabbed some stuff to take with him. Mark stayed downstairs and watched Tobias. When Jack came down the stairs, they walked outside to the car. "Is it Okey if we go to a hotel?" Jack looked at mark like he was joking. "Not like that !" Mark didn't believe that, even if he was in life danger, Jack could make him smile. "I know. I just thought we could use a laugh." Jack said with a little smile. "There is a little problem though. I don't have enough money to do this." Jack said looking down with shame on his face. "I'll pay. My .... 'job' pays very well." Mark sounded ashamed and knew Jack would think about how many people he had killed. But when Mark looked up at Jack, he saw that he smiled. "That's nice." Mark looked at Jack in surprise. "Jack, I know you probably don't trust me anymore and-" "Mark, I still trust you. I'm sure that you did your work for a good reason. If I may ask, what kind of people do you...... make dissappear?" Mark was surprised for for a second but then answered. "We attack criminals that are too hard for the police to get. Mass murderers and mafia leaders kind of people." Jack smiled again. "I thought so." Mark felt really good, even if they where on the run. He was gonna save Jack.
