I'm not the perfect person and never have been. Everyone would think that the daughter of a wealthy politician would be the most well behaved woman, but I was different. I was born in London as a child but due to riots of the tax increase and the hatred of politicians, it was no longer safe to stay here. We packed up any belongings we could and sailed to America in 1865. This was a horrible time for America, bloodshed and war was spread throughout the country. Besides that my father decided to build a grand estate for our family to live in for generations. My father wasted no expense in using the finest materials money could buy. We had decided to build this grand estate in Maryland. After ten years it was finished. By then I was 23,and life finally had settled for the Portsburgs.
