Eight: A night to remember

I looked outside my window and watched as the rain poured down. Every drop held some kind of importance and somehow today felt eerie. The sky was grey and dark, yet sunlight was finding ways to peek through and shine brightly. The wind was coursing through the leaves of the trees.

I began to paint the scenery. I was in my room for an hour, and by then I had painted, sketched, and drawn this view.

I had a pending urge to go outside and just stand in the middle of everything. And so I did. I took a quick warm shower, dried of and got dressed. I pulled on black skinny jeans, a grey tank top, my black leather jacket and black ankle boots. I brushed my hair and stared at myself in the mirror for awhile.

Was I really any bit of cute? I mean I think if I were I'd be grabbing more attention then perverted old men and perverted guys. Then again, the fact that dudes as good looking as Maone or Ayrton have taken any interest in me at all is astounding. I shook off my nervous thoughts and left my room. Heading downstairs to a very quite house was a little weird. It was Saturday and my family had all stayed the night, where were they?

I stepped into the kitchen seeing once again an empty room. Well it was official, they all went somewhere. That was until I heard "over here, blind sis of mine." I jumped and screamed, then calmed as I saw it was only Layla. I spoke back "what the hell, Lay Lay. You couldn't have said that like five minutes ago? You almost gave me a heart attack"

"Hahahaha, ya I could have. But that face was priceless"

"Ya ya, where is everyone?"

"Well apparently tonight is my baby shower. So I guess they're out buying gifts or whatever. Anyway, thy me with you so that you would get me out of the house while they set it up"

"How do know all this?"

"I forced it out of Ty since Rapha wouldn't spill a drop of info" she said with a grin. Well I had no plans for this Saturday. I just wanted to stand in the rain artistically, I spoke "I had nothing to do that will interest you"

"Then why are you dressed to go outside?"

"Because I wanted to stand out in the rain"

"Fine, weirdo. But sadly since I have to tag along, I'm bringing an umbrella for me and my baby" Layla answered rubbing her impregnated stomach. I shrugged my shoulders and opened the front door. The cool breeze entered and I stepped outside. The rain was chilled and cold. The wind blew into my hair and the rain poured down onto me.

I was doing my best to think metaphorically. The best thoughts comes when you are actually experiencing something. The cold rain was creating a chill, but I enjoyed how the warmth of the sun. Layla and I spent the day doing a bunch of random activities that could waste time until dinner.

As the rest of my family came home, it was also time for the Riders to come over. Mr and Mrs rider came first and said Ayrton would be here soon. I dreaded those words. I really didn't want him here. Everyone was catching up and what not and I just felt so out of my age.
