Hunter's POV:
I can't believe this is happening again. I told Jess it would, I told her she'd be taken again because it was too bloody risky! Now he has her again! I could rip my hair out of my head with the amount of anger I felt, especially for Coulson. He was stupid to let her go in alone, he was stupid to let her go out on the field when we all knew Ward was going to come back for her. Now it's a matter of whether we'd see her again or not.
We've been watching them through CCTV. I'm not sure where they were heading but I know that my sister was injured. At one point I saw blood when they showed me the video. I was going to kill him for hurting her. When she came back to Shield she was a wreck, I had no idea how to help her but luckily Daisy was here and she understood her. It took months for her to get better and become herself again and now he's taken her...I'm scared that she won't be the same. That's if we do ever get her back.
"We'll find her, Hunter" Bobbi whispered, pulling me into a gentle hug but I didn't want support. I wanted my sister back.
"I'll never let her leave again" I whispered as she pulled away. "Everytime she leaves, ventures outside she gets taken by that monster" I frowned shaking my head. "What if he kills her Bobbi? You saw the blood"
"I don't know why he wants her so badly but I don't think he'd kill her. I know she had blood on her but it could be someone else's. Either that or it wasn't Ward who hurt her. I know you're going to be mad because I'm saying this but maybe he's protecting her. She was taken to Hydra and they managed to get away? It doesn't add up"
"No, because Ward doesn't have a heart. He just wants revenge from me shooting him" I explained but she wasn't having none of it.
"If he wanted her dead, she'd be dead by now" Bobbi sighed, grabbing one of the 'Night night' guns as Fitz called it. Our search for Ward lead us to a house in the middle of nowhere which was typical. The house had cctv for some reason, not sure why they needed it. We saw Ward park up and leave Jess in the car then he went inside and that's how it ended which made me think she was dead. Why would he leave her in the car if she was alive? He'd eventually come out of the house and go back into the car, driving off and coming back sometime later. We found the house and May flew us near it, we needed to end this now and kill him.
"I'll go in first" Daisy stepped up and I shook my head. I needed to go in, it was my sister and as soon as I saw Ward I needed him dead. "Hunter, you're reckless"
"No. I'm smart" I shouted. "You were the ones being reckless and letting her out on the field! We all knew this would happen yet I was the only one against it!"
"We can't smother her. She's not a kid" Bobbi stood up for Daisy who stared at me, surprised by my anger. "Jessica's a good agent, Hunter. We needed her out on the field, she can talk to people and get through to them"
"She's vulnerable. That's what she is" I grabbed my gun and some ammo, clipping it to my belt. "I'll go in first, shoot him and then we get Jess"
"You really think it's going to be that easy?" Bobbi raised her eyebrow at me and I sighed. Of course it wasn't going to be, of course he was going to have a trick up his sleeve but I was fed up of him still being alive. With every breath he took he ruined mine and my sisters lives.
"Let's go" I walked out of the plane, Daisy and Bobbi joining me. Mack was already out, checking the area around the house incase Hydra was hiding in the shadows. May and Coulson were going to cover the front where as we was going to the back. We had to have them surrounded, no exit. We moved forward cautiously, myself and Bobbi standing either side of the door. Daisy stood central to the door, raising her hands as she used her seismic waves, shattering the door into splinters. I swung round the door frame instantly, my gun drawn and my eyes searching for anything remotely resembling a target. "Clear" I confirmed gingerly walking into the room. Bobbi and Daisy followed, fanning out to conduct a further search.
"Clear"
"Same here" Mack whispered through the headset. We began walking towards the stairs, looking into every room we passed but there was no sign of either of them. Coulson walked towards us, gesturing us to stop as he looked like he was listening for something.
"Can you hear that buzzing?" He asked and we all turned to the door under the stairs. I kicked the door down, revealing stairs that lead down to another room, a basement. There was a strange light glow illuminating the otherwise pitch black room. We started venturing down, keeping our eyes peeled for any movement. As we started reaching the bottom of the stairs my eyes lingered to the computer monitor with a picture plastered on it. I walked straight up to it, examining it until I realized it was a video. I clicked play and it showed us the same video we saw on the CCTV footage. Then I realized, he looped the video.
"It's a trap" Coulson whispered as I felt anger rise up in me once again. He was always two steps ahead of us but why would he lead us here?
Everyone turned and stared at the basement exit as we heard car tyres screech to a stop from outside.
"Hydra" Mack told us through the mic, May ran up the stairs ready for battle, we all followed her making sure we kept cover as we peered out the window. There were at least six cars containing four Hydra agents in each car. I watched carefully as one of the doors opened and a man strolled towards the front door. The fog!
"Oh bugger" The fog stopped at the door and slowly turned round, facing all the Hydra agents who were armed and ready.
"Why are you just standing there for? Use your powers and do as we have ordered you to. We need them both dead!" One of the agents ordered him. He just started laughing deeply, before his body turned to fog and swept over all of the agents. We all stared in confusion as all the agents suddenly stood still, paralyzed by the drug that was taking over them. He turned back to his human form and faced us looking sad. Daisy went straight up to the door and opened it before anyone could stop her.
"Do you have the girl?" He asked, staring at Daisy.
"She was taken. Hydra took her and we're trying to get her back but one of the agents lead us here into a trap" Daisy explained to him and he hung his head low.
"It was my fault. I thought they could help me. I thought you wanted to use me and that I had full control and I didn't need you. But Hydra didn't care about me. That girl, she did. She said I had heart, that I was just new to these powers and I was too bigheaded to realize that I couldn't control them when I wanted" He walked closer and we all stood on standby, waiting for Daisy to give us the signal just incase.
"Eyes on the target, do I shoot?" Mack whispered through the headset.
"No. Stand down" Coulson ordered, waiting for Daisy.
"I know what you're going through because I've been through the same thing. I'm an inhuman, I was terrified when I first found out that I had powers. I didn't think I could be around anyone without hurting them"
"My...My daughter" He teared up slightly and I started lowering my gun. "I lost control around her and the fog touched her, she reacted badly to it and started screaming. She looked terrified and there was nothing I could do! She hasn't been the same since, I can't even see her anymore incase it happens again! I need to control it, I need my daughter back" He cried and Daisy walked straight up to him and hugged him.
"I promise you that I will help you. You'll see your daughter again and you won't have to worry about your powers" She comforted him and I looked at Coulson who had a sad smile. He felt sorry for him, Daisy definitely did. Daisy had more understanding than what we did. We now had the inhuman on our side, maybe he could answer some questions. Something played on my mind though, about that agent who ordered the inhuman to kill who was inside.
"Coulson, that Hydra agent, he told him to kill them both. Does he mean Ward and Jess?" I raised an eyebrow and Coulson's eyes widened.
"Ward betrayed Hydra. He lead us both here to have more time to run. He's protecting her which also means that they could be anywhere. He has nothing tying him down..." Coulson sadly as we both realised it would near impossible to find them now. He had no link to us, they were free agents. They could go off the grid, just disappear into thin air and we wouldn't find them. Surely Jess wouldn't agree to that?
