It had been almost a month since the attack. Bailey had finally made it into the Survey Corps. Even though she finally achieved her dream, things weren't just right....
Bailey stood on the ledge above the lake. Memories flashed through her head.
She saw her and Marco running down the streets of town.
"Your not gonna die Bailey," he said. "Your going to Survive! I'll meet you at the east side of the wall!"
Blood splattered everywhere, her image flashing in different colors. She saw Marcos eyes, scared and blood splattering on him. Then it was her and Kendal.
"I'm not gonna leave you Bailey!" He said. "We are both gonna get out of here, okay?"
She saw her brother reaching towards her, until blood splattered across her whole memory. She gasped . Tears filled her eyes. She lost family again, she was all alone. She slowly leaned over the ledge and looked at the lake as it glistened in the moonlight.
Sorry Kendal. Sorry Marco. I can't fight anymore. She leaned over the Ledge.
"Don't!" Someone yelled.
She turned around. A shadowy figure stood in the trees.
"Don't come any further!" She said. "I'll jump!"
"I don't think you want to do that," he said.
His voice was mysterious but firm. She didn't recognize it. She turned back around.
"Why not?" She said. "This place is a living hell anyway!"
"It's a living hell alright," he said. "But I don't think jumping off a cliff is your best answer."
"Then what is?! I've watched my whole family die before my eyes! I can't stand the fact of seeing them die every night, I can't stand it anymore!"
Suddenly, she felt two hands on her waist. She didn't turn around, she just stared at the lake.
"I know your pain," he whispered in her ear. "But a true soldier wouldn't jump off of the cliff."
"What if I don't want to be a soldier anymore?!"
"You've made it this far. Its up to you, you can jump off of the ledge, then I'll have to save you some how or else I'll look like a jack ass, or you can turn around and come back to camp and hope for the best."
Bailey was silent.
"It's not going to get any better, I'll tell you that, but you can always hope for the best. This is life, so you decide if you want to live it or not."
He kept his grip on her waist. She slowly lowered her hands on top of his and leaned back. He took a few steps and she followed, when she suddenly tripped on a and fell forwards. She held on to the edge of the cliff as she hung from it. She held on tightly trying to get up.
"Take my hand!" The boy yelled.
Bailey reached out for his hand in front of her, but lost her grip on the ledge. She started falling towards the lake. She felt the air rushing past her with a weird feeling in her stomach. She screamed as she fell. She saw herself almost hit the ground, when she got caught by someone. The boy held her in his arms as they flew across over the lake with his 3D maneuver gear. She held on tight to him, remembering how much she hated the feeling of falling. They finally landed back on the ledge where he let her go. She fell to her knees, traumatized about what happened. She saw a hand held in front of her.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
She nodded and took his hand. He pulled her up.She found herself staring into a set of teal eyes. They were dark blue at the top and faded into green towards the middle and bottom. She knew them. They were the teal eyed boys from her dreams. She then looked at him. He stood about a foot above her. He wore his scouts uniform and had dark brown hair.
He stared at her in shock.
"Bailey?" He asked.
She stared at him. Suddenly images of a boy with brown hair and teal eyes passed threw her brain. How did she forget?
"Eren?" She asked.
They both smiled.
"Oh my god!"
She jumped into his arms. She hasn't seen him for 6 years. They just held onto that hug. How was he still alive?
They finally let go, but Bailey wanted to jump back in. He was alive!
" You are alive!" He said.
"So are you!" She said.
"You look good. Pretty brown hair." He said.
She laughed.
"Thanks, you too."
They just stood and stared at each other.
"I'm still trying to get over you being alive," he said.
"Me too," she said. "I'm so sorry about that scene back there it..."
"Don't, I know what your going through."
She nodded.
"If you don't mind me asking..." He began.
She looked up at him.
"What happened?"
She shook her head.
"It's a long story." She said.
"I've got time."
She nodded slowly, she needed to tell someone.
"Meet me at my cabin and I'll tell you," she said.
"Okay, I'll go get changed and meet you there," he said. "What number are you in?"
"48."
"Okay I'll meet you there."
They both went their separate ways. When Bailey got to her cabin, she got quick shower and got in her pj's. She wore a black tshirt and grey sweatpants. By the time she was ready, there was a knock at the door. Bailey walked over and opened it. Eren stood in front of her in a black tshirt and shorts.
"Hey," he said.
"Hi," Bailey replied. "Come on in."
He nodded and walked in. He stood in the middle of the room and looked around.
"Nice Cabin," he said.
"Thank you," Bailey said. "I have a roommate but she's still helping out with the mission."
He walked over towards her dresser where he found her sketch pad.
"What's this?" He asked.
"Oh that's my sketch pad," she said. "Don't bother their all bad..."
Before she could finish, he was already flipping through the pages. He looked up at her shocked.
"These are amazing," he said.
"Thanks," she said.
He then stopped on a picture.
"Is this me?"
"Oh no! You weren't supposed to see that one!"
"Why?"
"You see, for a while i don't know why, but my memory made me forget about you, so every night I dreamt of a teal eyed boy and didn't know who it was. I just drew him one day, I didn't know it was you."
"It's amazing."
"Thank you."
He stared at a picture on her pad. He turned the pad towards her. She stared at the picture. It was one of her, Marco, and Kendal.
