Forever Changed

Chapter 4: The Scouts

All of her dream was a blur. Different colors flashing as she watched Kendal crying while putting a needle towards her.
"Kendal what are you doing?!" Bailey screamed.
"Trust me Bailey," he said. "This is for your own good."
"You've gone crazy!"
"The Serum will make your memory blurry, but just go back home Bailey, you'll understand. I'm sorry things have to be like this."
He stabbed the needle in her arm.
"Kendal no!!!"

Bailey suddenly got shaken awake by Eren.
"Bailey!" He yelled.
Bailey shot up from the bed. She had broke out a sweat, and had tears falling down her cheeks. She saw Eren sitting next to her holding her hand.
"What happened?" She asked confused.
"You were screaming in your sleep." He said. "Are you okay? "
She slowly nodded. What was she even dreaming about?
"Bad dream?" Eren asked her.
"Yeah," she said. "But I don't remember what it was."
"It was probably nothing then if you don't remember."
"You're probably right."
She looked out of her window and saw the sun rising. It was a beautiful pink and orange.
"We should probably get ready, before we meet everyone."
"You're probably right."
Eren stood up and went towards the door.
"I'll meet you back here," he said.
"Okay," Bailey said. "Just be carful when you outside, make sure no one sees you coming from here."
Eren looked out of the door to make sure no one was coming.
"No ones out, I'll meet you back here in 20."
"Okay see you soon."

. Bailey then ran into her room and got changed. She threw on white pants, a white short sleeve, her harness, and knee high combat boots. Finally, she saw her leather jacket laying out on her bed. She held it up and stared in awe. The Wings of Freedom were printed on the back. She put on the jacket and stared at herself in the mirror. She was a soldier. A knock came at her door. It was Eren.
"You ready?" He asked.
Bailey nodded. She closed her door and followed him to the food hall where they were serving breakfast. On the way down, they ran into two people. One was a boy with blonde hair and blue eyes. The other was a girl with black hair and grey eyes. They both looked at her and Eren. Bailey was shocked. She looked over at Eren and he nodded. A huge smile built up on her face.
"Mikasa! Armin!" She yelled.
They all smiled at each other.
"Bailey!" They yelled back.
They all ran to each other and got in a big group hug.
"Oh my gosh your alive!" Mikasa said.
They all let go.
"How are you guys here?!" Bailey asked.
"We were with Eren," Armin said. "We singed up to join the Cadets after the attack."     "
Oh my gosh I can't believe you all are here!" Bailey said.
"Same!"
Eren then came over.
"Let's get to catch up over breakfast," he said. "Or else we are going to get in trouble for being late."
They all nodded and went to the breakfast hall. They all grabbed their food and sat with their friends. Sasha was gulping down her food with Connie next to her, Ymir was flirting with Krista, Reiner was with Berthodlt quietly talking among themselves, and Jean sat right in front of Eren and Bailey.

"Soldiers!" Someone yelled.
Everyone shot up and did the salute. A man stood in front of the door with a clipboard in his hand.
"All soldiers meet at room 103 in fifteen minutes for a meeting! Those who do not attend or show up on time will have punishment!"
"Hai!" All the soldiers yelled.
The man then left and everyone sat back down.

"Attention!!!" Someone yelled.
Everyone stood up and did the salute, putting there left fist on their heart.
A man then walked in. He had blonde hair, blue eyes, and bushy eyebrows.
"Soldiers," he said. "I am Commander Erwin Smith of the Scout Regiment. I welcome you."
Bailey felt her heart racing in her chest. It was him!
"I wanted to introduce you to your fellow Leaders."
Three other people came out, two men and one women. One man was tall and had light brown hair covering his face. The other man was short with black hair and grey eyes. The women had brown hair and eyes with glasses.
"Everyone, squad leaders Hanji Zoe, Mike , and Levi Ackerman."
Everyone solute them.
"Ah nice group of kids this year Erwin," Hanji said.
"Tch, you always say that," Levi said.
"All of the squad leaders have been looking at your records and have decided who will be in their squads," Erwin said. "Today look around the regiment and get familiar with everything. We'll meet back in here at 9:15 tomorrow morning. That is all."
"Hai!" Everyone yelled.
Everyone started to walk off.
"Yeager! Beifong! Stay." Erwin said.
Eren and Bailey both looked at each other. Were they in trouble? Everyone else left and they went up to the leaders.
"You two were the kids who tried to sneak with the Scouts outside the walls five years ago weren't you?" Hanji asked.
"Yes ma'am!" They said as the saluted.
"At ease soldiers you don't have to do that."
They both stopped.
"Oh my gosh, I can't believe it's been five years!" Hanji said. "You two have really grown."
"Thank you," they said.
"And also may I say you two look cute together."
She laughed as Eren and Bailey both looked at each other shocked.
"Tch," Levi said. "Young love is stupid. "
"We're not a couple sir," Eren said. "Just good friends."
"You kids better have grown up more then the last time I saw you!"
"We have sir?"
"Well I know Yeager has but you Beifing I need to figure out. You graduated 5 in your class correct?"
"3 sir. But if you don't mind me asking, how do you Eren has?"
"He's been here for the last couple of weeks....."
Levi trailed off. Bailey looked over and saw Eren shaking his head rapidly. He saw her and stopped giving her a smile.
"Looks like you two lived up your dream," Erwin said. "We didn't know what happened to you kids after the attack. Hanji was devastated."
"Awwwww!!!" Hanji said. "I was really excited to work with you two! I was terrified something happened to you guys! That attack was horrible, many lives were lost."
Pictures of her parents, Marco, and Kendal played back through her head.
Damnit Bailey don't cry! They are going to think your not going to be a proper soldier.
Hanji looked over at Bailey.
"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry," she said. "I didn't mean to..."
"No your fine," Bailey said cutting her off, wiping away her tears. "This is our life right? Might as well get used to it."
