Fiery Passion

(Aph's P.O.V.)

I heard about the operation the day of and I rushed as fast as I could to the airport and onto a plane heading right there. I wanted to be there for Ross and Max and Phoenix. They are my friends and I love them very much.

I hailed a taxi and gave the driver the directions, he had no clue so another guy took over. Luckily, I was a few hours early.

When I finally got there -after going from taxi cab to taxi cab for an hour- I saw something I can confidently say I never -NEVER- want to see ever, especially the way I did. I walked into the waiting room and there was Ross, Max, Adam, Jin, Shelby, Red, John (aka Bernicies), and then there was a couple that I didn't recognize. Adam, Jin, and Jason (Jason got on the flight just before mine) were hugging Ross and trying to keep him in his seat. John and Red were sitting next to Shelby, who looked just plain terrible. Max was over with the two that I didn't recognize. The man looked like he was part zombie, part deranged vampire who had been in a car accident. The girl looked like she had been crying a river -literally- that and a combination of deranged vampire in a car accident.
The guy looked like he was stressing more than he should. Max was holding him down the same way Adam was holding Ross down. The girl looked like she was trying to hold him down too but, it didn't seem to be working. She was shaking badly and looked like she was about to pass out.
I walked over to where Red and Jin were sitting and just stared a them for probably two minutes straight. "What the heck is wrong with Ross? He looks like he hasn't slept for a week!", I whispered to them.
Jin motioned to us to move out into the hallway. "Ross hasn't slept for at least forty-eight hours. I think he's either lost his mind or he thinks that he's never going to see her again."
             "How are her chances?"
"That's the reason they didn't do the operation as soon as they heard about it. Her chances aren't very good."
"Jin I don't need you beating around the bush. Give me exact numbers.
              "Thirty out of one hundred."
That was when my brain completely shut off. We heard a noise from the waiting room and we went to find out what it was. Ross had gotten out of Adam's grip and was walking toward the the exit to the elevators.
"Ross where are you going man? She needs you!." Jin shouted after Ross.
He stopped dead in his tracks and slowly turned around. He looked Jin square in the eye and held his gaze for the few seconds that he stood there.
"Do you really believe that? Have you really just given up on her that quickly Ross?!? Don't try to deny it. I can see it in your eyes that that's what your thinking! Ross, if you would give up on someone you love that fast.... You will never see the outcome if you live like that Ross. You are a coward. You don't even love her, you've never loved her if you act like that! YOU are a yellow-bellied, lilly-livered, two-faced, abhorring excuse for a man! IF YOU'RE GOING TO GO JUST GO! Go and never come back!" Jin let all of the terrible words he could think of flow from his mouth, swirling, enveloping Ross slowly, until he was nearly head deep. It rose and rose until Ross shoved a dam up in its face.
"I haven't given up. Not yet. Not ever. If you think that I would give up that easily-well- you just described yourself. You don't know me Jin. You think you do, but you don't. I am not leaving. I'm going to fight a war right along side her."

And with that, Ross shut the door and left Jin alone to stew in his own discretion.
