It's been a few weeks since Trystan drove me to the gym, and since then we've been closer.
I still haven't mentioned his name to my parents as I know it's a lost cause, I really do want my parents to accept him but I know they won't or even if they did it wouldn't be for a long time.

Trystan isn't as bad as my mother and father make him out to be. But if he is so good then why do I feel like I'm trying to convince myself.

I shake the thoughts out my head to ridden myself from the thoughts.

I look around my room sleep still evident in my eyes.

I climb out of bed and float to the bathroom, so so tired.

"Morning dad, where is mum?" I ask as I reach the kitchen

"She's at work, early start at the hospital"

"Oh, um dad can I ask you something?"

"Sure what's up?"

"Um would you ever consider giving Trystan a chance?" I close my eyes and hope for the best.

"Carmen you know what I think of him"

"I know but he really isn't that bad, please trust me and if you meet him and still don't like him then I will never speak to him or of him ever again please just give him this one chance"

He held my gaze for a few seconds before sighing, his eyes softened "Fine I will give him one chance but if he messes up I want him out of Bernie's gym also"

"Thank you thank you" I hug him and turn to leave.

"Carmen I'm not finished, I still have to convince your mother, but invite him round for dinner tomorrow night"

"Okay"

Once at school I search for Trystan when my eyes landed on him I began walking to him quite quickly as well

"Trystan hey, sorry for interrupting, but I really need to speak to you about something"

"Fine make it quick"

"Well my parents have invited you for dinner tomorrow night"

"Why?"

"Because well when they found out that you started the gym, they were apprehensive, um they were concerned that you wouldn't be the best of influences on me"

"What's your point?"

"They said that if you make a good impression that they will allow me to speak to you and hang out with you"

"And if I don't?"

"Well then they said they are going to use their relationship with Bernie to make sure you never step foot in that gym again"

"Why do I even need their acceptance?"

"For me, for us to be able to speak or communicate"

"But I barely even know you" he said sounding very bored now.

"Oh I get it, never mind then" I lowered my head and stalked away embarrassed.

I found Hollie and Oliver at my locker watching me.

"What was that all about?" Oliver asked me

"Oh nothing" I sighed, it seemed to be good enough for Oliver but Hollie gave me a wary look.

At dinner time I left Hollie and Oliver at the table as I went to the dinner line waiting to buy food.

"Carmen" I heard a deep familiar voice.
