He had startling gray eyes. That's the first thing I noticed about him. His angled nose came next. Followed by that, were his lush, cherub lips. My eyes traveled downwards to his sharp jaw and extremely good physique. They roamed to his head, where lay luscious brown locks.
I gaped at him. Quite unattractively too.
It was quite funny how he reacted though. He could, obviously, feel everyone's stares on him. He fumbled around with his bag and sat at the front of the class. Unfortunately, that happened to be right next to me. I heard Bella squeal next to me and shushed her immediately. Much to the pleasure of Mr. Random, the homeroom teacher had finally arrived. She had short blond hair that brushed her shoulders and a small smile plastered on her face. For some reason, she reminded me of Miss Honey from Matilda. I smiled at the memory. The class had greeted the teacher that had introduced herself as Vivian and went back to the dull hum of Monday mornings.
I glanced over to the Greek God sitting next to me and was surprised to see that he was already smiling in my direction. I felt my face heat up and quickly faced Bella, her sniggering quite prominent. I glared at her and looked straight ahead, waiting for roll call. It was quite rare for a new student to come in during Senior year. I looked at him again and was glad to see that he wasn't looking in my direction. The silhouette of his face cut through my vision in a perfect way. His raised cheekbones were those you'd spot on models. And don't even get me started on his eyelashes. Is it just me or do all guys generally tend to have longer lashes? I slowly examined other boys' eyelashes and blushed when I caught myself in the act.
When roll call started, the class became silent again. The reason was obvious- everyone wanted to know his name. Mrs. Vivian had instructed us to give everyone a short introduction for the class' benefit, but really it was just for her because she joined recently and him.
'Anastasia Wintour.' Mrs. Vivian called. Sometimes, I really hated my name for being so alphabetically inconvenient.
'Um, I'm Anna Wintour. I aspire to become a lawyer and my dream college is Yale. I like reading any book, and I love food.' I earned a few giggles from the last part and I quickly sat myself down. An amused smile was plastered on Mrs. Vivian's face and I blushed furiously as I scolded myself.
'Really, A?' Bella asked, using my nickname. I shrugged in response and frowned. Bella's name came after two names and then finally, an unfamiliar name echoed in homeroom C of Hillridge High.
'Hades Ellen.' Mrs. Vivian called out. A chorus of sighs surrounded me as the man next to me stood up to a remarkable height of 6 feet. I craned my neck to get a better view. His husky voice ran through my ears like a song I was obsessed with. I almost sighed in response but stopped myself.
'I'm Hades.' The beautiful voice said. 'I transferred here from another high school. I aim to be a lawyer too,' He said, looking at me with an amused expression. I tried to hold it together before he continued, 'and I hope to be accepted into Brown or Dartmouth. I was the Student Council President in my previous school and play badminton.' He sat back down gracefully as a round of 'Awws' were heard. I shook my head and tugged at my sweater, suddenly uncomfortable.
But the worst was yet to come. One look to Bella's face and her intentions were clear. She was going to ruin my life. But it was too late to stop her.
'Hades huh?' She said to him. He looked at her with a smirk on his face and I swear Bella melted right then and there. 'Were your parents into Greek mythology?' She asked with genuine curiosity.
He chuckled and a crimson tint crept up my face. Okay, he's hot. So what? He's probably not even in any of your classes. Stop looking at him Anna. You have a dream to look forward to, my conscience scolded me. I nodded slightly and looked towards the whiteboard. I couldn't, however, help myself from listening to their conversation.
'Yeah, I guess they were.' He replied. From the corner of my eye, I could see that he had ran his hand through his straight brown hair. My fingers suddenly itched to run my own fingers through his hair. I held my hand firmly, clearly not trusting myself enough.
'So how come you transferred schools?' She pressed. Hades was clearly not used to outgoing people as he awkwardly played with his fingers.
'Let's just say that I was a bit of a handful.' He grinned, with his 10,000 watt smile. This time, it was Bella who chuckled. 'Won't you introduce me to your friend?' The color left my face and I turned pale when I heard those words. I was praying to God he meant someone else, and even if he did, Bella would, of course, take this chance and sabotage my life. I pleaded her quietly and she smirked back at me. Bella please, I prayed, hoping she got my message.
'This is Anastasia. You can call her Anna.' She said as she held my shoulders and turned around so I could face him. I could feel my green eyes widen at his sight but I stayed calm nonetheless.
'Hey Anna.' He said. Chills traveled up and down my spine when he said my name. This is so unfair, I thought to myself as I lifted my arm to shake his extended one. My brain was on overdrive and I swear to God, he better have a really bad quality so that it balances his obviously angelic side. Maybe he supports Trump, I thought in a pathetic attempt. Or worse, maybe he doesn't read books. I laughed internally at my own joke- pathetic, I know.
The class promptly ended after that and Bella and I made our way to our lockers. Bella wouldn't stop talking about the little smile he shot towards me as we exited class. I rolled my eyes. As we walked back to class after collecting our books, I felt a tug. I turned around but there was no one that looked remotely suspicious. I shrugged it off and dropped Bella off at her Spanish class and made my way to AP Government. The corridors were already empty, suggesting that the little detour I had taken to Bella's class was probably unwise. I still had a long distance to cover and so, I began jogging to class.
Suddenly, I felt a tug at my sweater and was pulled into a different corridor. My muffled screams offered no help and my worried brown eyes stared into stark, gray ones. My eyes held up a light show of emotions- terror, confusion, anxiety and surprisingly, happiness. The kidnapper seemed amused. I glared at Hades as he attempted to stop laughing. What I didn't notice was how close we both were. Quickly, his expression turned serious and he leaned into me, our foreheads touching. His eyes became stormier and more cloudy and his pupils dilated. His large hands rested on my waist. Shivers ran through me continuously as I felt my cheeks flush.
'Hades.' I whispered. 'What are you doing?' His face came closer and his lips were dangerously close to mine. I whimpered with all the electricity between us. His grip tightened on me and I automatically closed my eyes. My breathing hitched and my heartbeat went crazy. I wanted it to happen so badly. His chest was against mine- both rising and falling in impeccable sync. I noticed my hands were on his chest. I also noticed how small they looked against his personality. I trembled underneath him as he came closer to me. Our lips brushed and I closed my eyes.
Then, I feel his grip loosen. And almost as quickly as he pulled me into the corridor, he disappeared into the darkness as I clutched onto my dear life. My mind was blank and I made my way to class.

Maybe I exaggerated a little bit, but about 90% of what I had just written is true. Anyways, thanks so much for reading.
