Jacobs pov
we did as instructed and walk in the room. I saw her lying there in her phone. I took a deep breath "hey" I said softly. she looked up shocked and tensed up until she saw Tyler. "hi?" she questioned. "how are you doing?" I asked her. "why are you here?" she asked harshly. "well I called the ambulance for you and while your brother was freaking out, I calmed him down." "oh" was all she could say. "I'll go get food" I said laughing.
skylars pov
I watched him walk in and immediately tensed up. I think he noticed. he acted all cool while I was contemplating why he was here. he's my bully I thought. I was snapped out of my thoughts when he said, "I'll go get food". when he left, Tyler came up to me and asked, "why doesn't Jakie come over anymore?" I cringed at the name Jakie. that's what Amanda calls him and he hates it. the only time he likes it is when me or Tyler would call him that. "he's busy" I managed to choke out. "oh" was all he could say until Jacob came back up right when the doctor came in.
"you're free to go, all we need is a parent or guardian signature and you can leave." he said. "um my parents aren't in town" I said. then Jacob cut in, "does it have to be a parent or guardian or could it be an adult like my mom?" "yeah sure" "ok" we both said at the same time.
it stayed quiet for a while. "she'll be happy to see you. all she does is talk about you, about how much she misses you, how she really wishes she could see you." he said. "I miss her too" I said quietly.
she showed up and signed all the papers. then she hugged me and said, "I missed you so much Skylar you can't imagine". "I missed you too Mrs. Sartorius" I said. "oh please, call me pattie dear." "um ok" I said shyly.
a couple hours later I was at the Sartorius household I had to stay here for now because my moms away. I haven't said much to anyone since I got here. "dinner" I heard pattie sing from downstairs. I go down and just stare at my food. "aren't you gonna eat?" she asked. "oh no I'm not very hungry" I replied. a couple seconds later she said "oh well ok you may be excused." and with that I went upstairs and got ready for tomorrow.
