Chapter 2: Secret

Next day after arriving at Clarines, (y/n) started to search for Izana but for a strange reason she never managed to arrive at the castle. With a poor sense of direction like hers, even knowing the way is useless. So many times she had already asked the villagers about the way to the castle but even if is a straight path she end up arriving at another destination; like the countless times when she ended in the port or at the city limits.

What's happening whit her? No matter how much she tries, she can't get close to the palace no matter what. She always though that it was because of her poor sense of direction but it's impossible for her to get lost in a straight path; there must be something that keeps her away from the castle.

That day like the other times, she ended in the port again. Tired and a bit stressed, (y/n) let out a sigh before giving up for today; if she end in the port again, she will go crazy and that's something she didn't want.

During her way to the inn she was staying, she saw at the distance a familiar red hair hidden by a hood. Was it from the red haired girl called Shirayuki? May be not because Shirayuki lived in Tanbarun and this place is a bit far from there.

—Shirayuki-san? — She asked suddenly without thinking but for her luck, the red haired girl turned to her direction.

—You are...— she was surprised to see the girl again — (y/n)... —how much time passed since that day? Shirayuki wondered as she approached to the girl. —Are you lost again? Are you searching for Sirius again? — (y/n) laughed at Shirayuki words, the red haired girl laughed too.

—No, this time I came here alone searching for someone else — (y/n) replied — but for more that I try to go to there I always return to the port or the city limits—

—It looks like you're still like that— Shirayuki laughed at (y/n)'s words. So careless, innocent and clumsy; she was like a child despite her appearance and that make someone want to help her and protect her —so... where's the place you're trying to go?—

—The palace...— (y/n) answered simply —I want to see someone there— her words take Shirayuki by surprise. What is her goal going to such place like the palace? The curiosity invaded the red haired girl a bit.

—I can take you there— she replied taking (y/n) by her wrist and pulls her towards the castle — and who's that person you want to see? —

—Izana...— the name of the first prince surprised Shirayuki again. First were the castle and now the prince? Just what is she thinking? It was so confusing that made Shirayuki want to ask

everything about her but that could be an annoyance for her. The red haired girl only let out a sigh to continue towards the castle. Shirayuki was a bit worried about that. Why did she want to meet Izana? She cannot help but remember the first impression she got from the prince.

After a while, they finally managed to arrive at the castle's gate; Shirayuki showed her royal proof while with (y/n), the guards only leave her pass after seeing the necklace around the girl's neck. Shirayuki was surprised for that because the guards didn't asked anything about her but then, she saw the symbol of Clarines royal family in the pendant hanging in her necklace.

—Where did you get that? — Shirayuki walks close to (y/n) to take the pendant between her hands and see it more close.

—Someone I meet in the forest close to Clarines gave it to me— (y/n) replied.
