The chains of a broken promise (Izana Wistaria x Reader)

Epilogue: A New Sunrise

Because my brother didn't like the previous ending, he forced me to write this epilogue. And sorry for that but I'm a fujoshi after all.

Izana shouted desperately (y/n)'s name before falling over his knees to the ground, his tears didn't seems to stop and he couldn't think of something other than her. He felt guilty of what happened to her, he felt it was his fault for not taking a decision before her.

'Because of me...because of my fault, she's dead now...' he blamed himself again and again without wanting to raise his head. What will think the others? He was afraid that the entire kingdom could hate him because he let their empress die. The place was silent and the sky was cloudy, Percival and Sirius decided to accompany Izana in his paint along with several citizens of Utopia Avalon.

Everything was quiet and peaceful but suddenly, that peace was broke when some citizens started to mutter something.

—What's that? —The ones who keep staring at the sky suddenly said when they saw a strange white light falling from the sky—will it be dangerous? —some of them scared and others were just worried. Because of the commotion created by the people, Izana and the others decided to give it a look to see what was wrong with them.

—This hasn't ended yet? —Izana said annoyed as he takes out his weapon; Percival and Sirius do the same. Suddenly another light appeared in the sky, contrary to the first one, this light have purple glow; this light started to follow the white one and once it reached it, they started to descend more faster towards the kingdom.

Those lights finally stopped not much away from Izana and the others but before the glow disappear, a familiar figure stood in front of the prince with a smile in his face. Percival and Sirius were about to attack him but for a strange reason Izana stopped them by the moment.

—Please don't look at me with that gaze... I'm not here to harm anyone but to return something...— he commented turning towards the light that finally disappeared and in its place Kourin and (y/n) appeared —See? —

—You...— Izana was surprised to see Kourin alive because if he can remember well, Kourin was killed in Helheim. The man with scarlet hair release the girl to leave her walk to whenever she wants but one she saw Izana, (y/n) ran towards him to give him a lovely hug —(y/n)?... What's happening here? —Just like Izana, Percival and Sirius were confused as well and couldn't understand everything yet.

—Unbelievable, right? —Kimagure said with a completely different attitude towards them, as if he's a totally different person; he was so different that they even thought that it was a trap. —Thanks to Kourin, my lord, I didn't need to use (y/n)'s soul in order to close the black hole; instead, I used his power along with mine...—

—Wait... Kourin is that important thing you lost because of that immortal clan? —Kimagure nodded at that and walked close to his lord to help him stand up.

—yup, that's right. Everything what I did was because they ordered me to if I want to recover Kourin. Despite I'm a powerful demon I fell in love with a human and asked the immortal clan to let him become an immortal being like me, but when they did it I ended with a debt...they didn't asked for money nor asked for a soul in exchange, they only asked for me to do for them something whenever they orders me to do it; and 16 years ago is when ordered me to start with that... I tried to refuse because I don't like to harm people but they took Kourin away to force me to do it...—

Everything sound confusing for them, everything was like a well-formed lie only to make them lower their guard but the fact that (y/n) was alive was undeniable. Are they telling the truth or is another lie? Izana was unsure if he could believe in Kimagure words or no.

—If you want to believe us or no, is up to you but here is a proof that we made a contract with the immortal clan— Kourin takes out his left glove and showed to them an inverted pentagram with a serpent surrounding it— the one who helped us was Satan itself... but everything is in the past now... This world don't need magic anymore nor demons as well so Kimagure and I will going to go to Blood Pact and see if we can live there as an ally from the immortal clan...— Kourin approached to Kimagure and placed a kiss over his lips before opening a dimensional portal with the crystal that Acnologia gives to him.

—I think this is the good bye... and I'm really sorry for what I did...—Kimagure apologized before crossing that portal. Kourin bowed at them before leaving too.

Everything finally ended now. Even if the kingdom was half destroyed, the people refused to leave and instead decided to rebuild it; and for (y/n), she decided to go with Izana to Clarines kingdom and marry him. Percival and Sirius decided to go with them because they still want to keep protecting her until the end of their lives.

Everything about magic, demons and god disappeared from this world but Izana's immortality was still there along with Percival and Sirius too. They decided to help the people rebuild the kingdom before parting from it and finally after months of work, the kingdom returned to their usual shape.

When Izana and (y/n) along with Percival and Sirius returned to Clarines, everyone greeted them with happiness and worry, especially Zen that complained about Izana's younger appearance. Days after they returned to the kingdom, Izana was crowned King by the sudden decision of his mother Haruto Wistaria.

Nobody did anything, nobody asked anything, because they already knew everything; after what happened that day, a strange book appeared over the desk in Izana's study. Along with the ascension of Izana to the throne a new era started, with him as the sovereign the kingdom started to flourish and change little by little. The only thing that hasn't changed was Izana and his wife who remains as young as that day when they take the throne of Clarines; those two knight who came with her didn't changed too, because of that they are still protecting the kingdom and their governors.

And they will keep ruling forever... or until they day when something or someone decides to takes their lives away from this world...
